Today officially marks my fourth CBversary! Hooray! *confetti spews everywhere and terrible 80s disco music starts playing in background*
I think this means I've now been here long enough to go sit on a park bench somewhere and shake my cane at you young whippersnappers with your Arr Pees and your Altered Eggos...
Also, I'm turning 14 on May 3rd! Double hooray! *music gets louder and confetti begins piling up at your feet*
Ahem... anyway, I joined as part of the Crowd Sorcery event and posted under my real name at first, then under a few pseudonyms, notably Gadzooks and SPF. After posting on a couple Crowd Sorcery threads (and ultimately not getting anything into the finished story, because I was ten and super mega sucked at writing), I wanted to check out the main Chatterbox, so I did. Something something the rest is history. Reading through my old posts physically hurts me, so I've been trying not to do too much of that. But it's hard to believe that was really four years ago, it barely even feels like two.
Seriously, I've been on way too many internet forums and this is honestly one of the best I've found. You guys are all amazingly awesome people and cumulatively one of the best communities I've ever known, and you've made me smile and laugh more times than I can count, especially when I really needed it (read: when I was hopelessly depressed). So thanks for all the great years, and here's to quite a few more!

Happy birthday, hotairballoon! I didn't know you were fourteen. I always thought of you as... somewhat ageless. I don't know why. Anyway, happy birthday! You seem like such a unique person, one who marches to his own drum. Your comments always seem well thought out, so I like to pay attention to what you have to say. Have you really been on for four years? Wow, I think that makes you one of the longest lasting CBers. Sorry, I'm not sure if that sounds right, but I can't think of any better way to phrase it.
