Today marks the one-year anniversary of my officially joining the Chatterbox. I'd been on for a while at that point, but July 11th was the day I posted Nymph's introductory thread and decided that my status as a CBer was confirmed. Looking back on it, I realized I'd kind of forgotten that I can get really scared of her. She's very powerful.

So, happy CBversary to me! I know that you don't have to have an AE to be a CBer, but Nymph showed me that I was a part of this beautiful place and that I would be for a while, because she sure wasn't going anywhere soon.

A year is a long time. I didn't quite realize it had come and gone. I've changed so much since I first visited, scared of the links at the top left of my screen but ready to engage and curious about all the new things that I could let wash over me. A few days ago I was a little bit bored, and I thought "I wonder what my friends are up to." And in that thought, my friends were you. I haven't thought of myself as having friends in a very long time, but I think we are friends, because not many people know me better than quite a lot of you. In fact, some of you might know me better than I know myself, because last week is a foggy alien world to me, but last month is clear as yesterday to you. My memory is weird. Let's have a party! *throws confetti*
