For months, I've been running to the mailbox every day to see the mail before my brother and sister to make sure an answer didn't come for the latest contest--the Mutt Musem story contest. 3 days ago, my answer came!!!!!:D:D:D When I saw that large yellow envelope sitting on top of the stack of mail, addressed to me, and after I saw it was from Cricket magazine, I started screaming, jumping up and down, and running for the front door all at once!:D:D:D The neighbors must have thought I was nuts!:D:D:D I won 3rd place!!!!!:D:D:D I'm so happy!:D:D:D I've been excited ever since!:D:D:D Cricket, do you always give free books to people who win? In the package with the postcard and the reward, I got a small, paperback book called Directed by Kaspar Snit. I finished it yesterday, and it was very good!:D:D:D Thank you so much, Cricket, and buggies for thinking that my story is good enough for such a wonderful magazine full of amazing stories!:D:D:D

Congratulations, Kimberly. You wrote a great dog story. Each contest winner receives a prize, usually a book of some sort. But it might be art or writing supplies or a Cricket pin.

I'm glad you enjoyed the book. It looked like a good one, but I haven't read it.

We get so many great entries for each Cricket League contest. I've just finished reading all the scary poems in the October contest. Wait till you see the winners! Some of them are really creepy!

OOOOOOOOOH!! If I won anything from Cricket, I'd want it to be the pin!! I LOVE pins!! I sort of collect them! I have about two or three dozen, but nothing compares to a Cricket pin!!!
