Hi! I'm new

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Hi! I'm new

Hi! I'm new at Chatterbox.

I honestly have no idea if I'm doing this right. But. . . now I think I'm supposed to introduce myself. So. I'm PygmyOwl. I started getting Cricket almost a year ago, and I really wanted to join CB, but I was too shy. Now that I've worked up the courage, I decided that  I should make this thead thingie to start out. I like theater (especially Les Miserables, the best Broadway musical in the whole history of ever), reading (mostly fantasy, but I'm trying to branch out), writing stories/novels, and drawing (even though I'm not that good). I sometmes enjoy school, and my favorite class is band, where I play the flute. I also just started doing cross country this year.
I really like Cricket, but I do wish it came a bit oftener. Chatterbox is also really cool, but also a little overwhelming. There's so much STUFF! But I think I'm gonna like it here. (I'm an Annie fan too.)

Welcome, PygmyOwl. We're pleased to meet you. Our pygmy shrew, Zoot, sends special greetings! Here's a link to a thread to help explain many things about Chatterbox:

Welcome PygmyOwl! I am Hummingbird.
I joined about *Calculates* Four months ago, and I'm still getting used to the craziness! I think one thing that can help with the overwhelmingness of ChatterBox is to just pick one catagory to start with, and then branch out gradually. For instance, I started with just looking at Inkwell, and then after a few weeks I started looking at Pudding's place, Down to Earth, etc. You could also just start by stalking everybody before commenting on anything. That was another thing I did, and it helped teach me a lot.
I also LOVE fantasy. Some of my favorites are the Lord of the Ring's, (of course) Septimus Heap, Harry Potter, (So far, I'm on book 5), and The Thief. Have you read any of these?
I also started by getting Cricket, and I was surprised to learn that a lot of people here don't actually get the magazine! It's good to see another subscriber here.
I feel you as far as drawing goes! I would love to improve my skills.
Annie! *Starts humming Tomorrow*
I hope to see you around! It's great to meet you!

I have not read The Thief, but if it's anything like those other books, I'll put it on my (mile long) reading list. Thank you!

Welcome! I love Cricket too, and I also wish it came oftener. I like Les Mis too... and drawing (you should check out the art posting thread!)... and cross country... and Annie... We're pretty similar, honestly. See you around! *skateboards away* *crashes*

Hi! I'm Secret. I also play in the band! I play clarinet, though I have a perfect embrouchre (I totally spelled that wrong) for the flute and could play that really well too. I also love to read. I like to read realistic fiction because it is really relatable, and I would totally reccomend trying to branch out to that.

See you around!

It's great to meet anothe Les Mis fan. It seems like no one I know knows what it is except my sister. And she hates it.

Hello, and welcome to the Chatterbox! I am Viola?, eccentric artist and fangirl of many webcomics. It's nice to meet you!

Scandalously, I have not yet seen/listened to Les Mis, but I know a bit about it. It sounds very good. Tell me, does it need to be watched? Are there words and interactions as well as songs?

Well, since I haven't actually ever seen Les Mis myself, I guess it doesn't "need to be watched." You can pretty much understand the storyline if you read a brief summary and listen to the soundtrack. However, I've heard that the show itself is spectacular, which is why I'm begging my parents to get me tickets for my birthday.

Ah, lovely. Thank you!

I hope you get your tickets! It certainly sounds like a treat.

Hello, PygmyOwl! I am Spellbound, but I just changed my name from Sunshine Wings. I love to read, and my family loves Les Mis, though I don't like it as much, because I don't know as much about it as they do. Also, Luna-Starr/Luna is my sister. I play in band, and I am also in chorus. I love singing.

See you around!

What instrument do you play in band? Like I said, I play the flute. It is not an option at my school to do both chorus and band, and I am too busy o anything like that after school. You are so lucky!
