Emily still calls herself Emily L.  The other Emily seemed to have disappeared. :(:( I know that that doesn't mean I'm better!  I never said that!  Maybe the reason that Kimberly, Emily, and I like each other, is because we have lots of common interests! ;) 'Famous for my cards' means that every single person I know, gives me their address and tells me their birthday, so I hand make them a card.  It's sort of a business, but it's free. ;):):):):) And, as I said before, I don't mean to offend you!  I just think that it's strange that an eight-year-old has a girlfriend.  My brother, who's sixteen, just got his first real girlfriend.  Please, don't think that I don't like you.  Here's a smiley for all the times that you think I meant to offend you.

Well, 8 may be a little young to have a crush, but it is just an age. When I was 9 I had a small crush.

There is absuloutely nothing wrong with 'liking' a girl at this age. Some people mature faster than others, it's not like he's saying "HOW SHOULD I PROPOSE?" he simply wants to know how to approach a girl he finds pretty.
Personally, I don't think you should date till you can drive, but I would never put my age against a younger person's, because it's rude, inconsiderate, and I like to think how I would feel at the tender age of 8 and if someone put their -gasp- four years [such a difference (*)_(*)] over me. I myself starting thinking boys were "cute" when I was six or seven. I didn't want to date them, but I thought they looked nice.
Now, instead of being rude to him, and using sarcasm [Which, Miss Paige, may I point at, one step up from pg is pg-13, which you yourself are a year younger than the advised age. ;)] why don't we all get along, and let his parents decide when he is old enough to date?
Now, I know this debate is probably over, but I figure I should put my two bits in.

I agree with GlolWorm. I stiil haven't ever had a crush before, but that doesn't change my opinion.

I have not had a crush before.  And that might not be true because I'm just guessing what a crush is.

A "crush" is when you get obsessed in a "romantic" kind of way with someone of the opposite gender, as in, you "like-like" them. I guess a good synonym would be "infatuated." Does this help?

You're not homeschooled by any chance, are you?

I am homeschooled, and that does help, a lot.  I now know if I have had a crush.  I have not had a crush before.  Ever.
