Photography Contest!

Photography Contest!

I'm not sure why these are always on CaC, because photography is a form of art, but PP is so crowded right now, and umm, tradition? ANYWAY, rules:

1. It must be your own photo that you took.

2. No people's faces in the photo.

3. Obviously, nothing innapropriate/against CB rules.

I'll judge first- theme is dark, judging date is Febuary 20th :P

Anyways, the next theme is warm! So, anything from warm colors to a sunny day works! Judging day will be March 13th, one week from now. If you need a date extension, just @ me and I can figure it out!

I'm not sure how well this fits the theme, but it was taken on a really hot day when we got cold boba tea.

Idk if this would be considered to be "warm," but it was taken on a really hot day last summer! (Nikon D3500)

This is my pet lizard, Buckbeak! I think this is warm because 1. It's warm colors (brown, orangey) and 2. Lizards like Buckbeak normally live in deserts, which are warm.

Deku says mfpvp. (By the way, is Deku the name of an anime character or something? I didn't name him after that, he's named after the Deku from Zelda, because once he said rppee, reminding me of the Zelda currency)
Millenium Falcon PVP? What?

Yeah, I think Deku is like an anime character, my friend is completely obsessed with him and his friends. I might be wrong but I think he is from my hero academia?

Anyways, here is my picture for warm, I took it on a warm day when we went to the zoo!

Okay! Today is judging! There were only four entries, but everyone did so well, I love them all!!

In third place...

Third place is a tie between Fallen Leaf and Hazel Magnolia! Both of your pictures were so good! I also liked how they both live in places that are normally warm, and that brown was a big center of the image.

In second place...

Second place goes to Azalea! I love the neon green table, it's just spectacular and reminds me of warmth. The boba tea is also a wonderful addition to the image and I can see the sun making everything so hot!

And finally, in first place...

First place goes to Sarah W.! I love how there is just a little sliver of grass coming up between the pavement, which shows it must have been hot. The bird is beautiful in the picture too, and the quality of the image is amazing! Congrats!

Thanks, Nerd face!!!

The next theme is motion. This can mean an artistically blurry photo of something moving, OR a still shot of something moving (you would need a fast shutter speed or a motion camera setting for that). As long as your photo shows some kind of motion, you should be good!

Judging is in 2 weeks, March 27th.

Good luck!
