I have a kind of stupid question. Why do some people call the CBers lizards? I have been wondering that for a while. Also you can try to guess who I am.

yeah, I've wondered that too. I'm pretty sure saying "hey, lizards!" is just some peoples' way of saying "hey guys!". I'm not sure, but that's my guess. someone please correct me if I'm wrong :)

Tealeaf is right, "lizards" is a gender neutral form of "guys". Morning coined that term on the YWP classroom and it kind of just... stuck.

Yes, Tealeaf is right! It started on NaNo before the shutdown, it's my way of choosing a gender neutral term for "guys" because I am not a guy and the majority of CBers are not guys, plus there are too many saying centered around men while unconsciously erasing all other genders. And I like lizards.

Hi! The term 'lizards' was coined by Morning (I think- correct me if I'm wrong) on NaNoWriMo as a gender-neutral term for 'guys'. So that's why we say 'hey lizards'! It's a polite saying so no one gets offended. Thanks for asking, I'm sure a lot of people who weren't on NaNo were confused about this. (And hey- that wasn't a stupid question!)
