Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Hi. I have

Hi. I have a question about the story contests in Cricket. How do you choose the winner? Are there specific things you look for, or do the staff of Cricket vote on it?

Thank you,

Harper T.

P.S. Maybe I'll join the Chatterbox. I don't know yet.

Cricket League stories are read by two editors, who then select the winners. Judging criteria include creativity/originality, the quality of the writing, and how well the story develops the specific theme of the contest. We are always impressed by the quality and creativity of the entries! And we're sad when we have to eliminate an entry that may be missing the writer's age or address or adult signature or may be over the 350-word limit. (Every word counts except the title. Hyphenated words count as one word.)
