Admin Month Celebration!

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Admin Month Celebration!

Admin Month Celebration!

Since Alex pointed it out that we missed Admin month, I thought we could use this one last day to celebrate. Since some people might not be able to comment right away, let's say that this celebration will go from August 31st (now) to September 7, though of course you can submit comments whenever.

I've got cake, milkshakes, churros, all the Admins' favorite foods and desserts, oh and the Webmaster! We don't have a Webmaster month, do we? Well we'll have food and desserts for the Webmaster and anyone else involved in the management of this website, too.

Thank you, Admins, for working so hard to keep us all safe on here and making this a completely kid-friendly site, while giving us freedom to express ourselves. I know I speak for everyone when I say we really appreciate it!

Thank you, Webmaster, for keeping this website up and running, and for helping with the video Princess Juniper wanted to make! I know it is hard work, but it means so much to me because the CB is important to me.

*throws confetti* yay! All CBers, let's celebrate the people who keep this amazing place alive!

Happy admin month! (throws confetti)

I got my drawing pad out, I'll draw whatever you guys want (I see you there, about to say "we like everything you guys draw" WELL SORRY, NOT AN OPTION.)

Well, I've had to think about this. . . . Either a beautiful mountain landscape OR a seascape OR and insect paradise. You choose one. Not all three. Thank you!

Insect paradise? Well since I'm not great at drawing landscapes I drew insect paradise with Cricket and co, Hope you enjoy admin :D

This definitely looks like paradise to me!  I think I'd like to take a dip in the pool myself.  - Admin

*runs in* Happy Admin Month!!!! Thank you admins, and the webmaster, for everything you do for this community- we really appreciate it. *hands out lots of cake and also pie and ice cream, and edible confetti because you know, more food*

If it's okay, could I ask a question? Any admin can answer :). What's your favorite type of music?

OH, I can't name one favorite type of music! I like almost all kinds—classical, Broadway, country, rock 'n roll, folk, . . . and of course, crickets chirping in the night!

Oooooh right, Happy Admin Month!!!

Thank you guys so much for all you do, including putting up with our unlimited craziness :P

What're your guys' favorite desserts?? (@Admins)

Ohh, I've just been posting photos of cakes on Chatterbox. It's a good time for this question. Warm peach, cherry, or apple cobbler or pie with really good crust a la mode. Chocolate pie or mousse. Mocha ice cream of some sort: mocha mudslide, mocha chip, or Culver's cappuccino cookie crumble. Homemade chocolate chip cookies just out of the oven. I'm glad you made desserts plural!

Admins, thank you sooo much for everything you do for us on the CB. We all love and appreciate you more than you could know, thank you so much! The CB is a safe place for all kids who are here, thanks to you guys.

And also- thank you webmaster, for all that you do too!

*hands out virtual cupcakes* yay admins and webmaster!!!!! Thank you so so so so much!

Whats your favorite nursery rhyme? (@admins)

That's a tough question! I have many favorites. Two are "Hey Diddle Diddle" and "Old King Cole." Maybe because I play the fiddle. Another less known one is "Smiling Girls, Rosy Boys."

Thank you so, so much for everything you do, admins!! I really appreciate your dedication to this website, and how much work you put into it. The CB has really helped me get back into writing, and I am SO grateful for that!

@admins, it's completely fine if you can't answer any questions right now, but I was wondering, what are some of your favorite book characters? :)

What a wonderful question! Thank you. I will have to think about it and answer later. I think I'll have to say I have many favorites, admired for various different characteristics. I'll have to think if one stands out more than others.

I have been thinking about favorite book characters. Thank you for asking for "some," not asking me to name one favorite—an impossible task. Some of mine are Babe (the pig), Charlotte (in Charlotte's Web), and Pooh. But there are many characters in historical fiction that inspire me. Some may be based upon real people, but whether they are or not, I admire them and what I learn about the times in which they lived. Remembrance Rock by Carl Sandburg (the only novel he wrote) has so many strong pioneer characters who taught me to appreciate how hard so many people in the past worked so that we can live in comfort and freedom today. It well may be my favorite book of all time. It's over 1,000 pages long, and when I finished it I was sad because there were no more pages to turn! A few other names that inspire me: Jo March, Anne Frank, and The Little Prince.

I'm sure I'll think of more after I post this.

P.S. Sure enough! How could I forget Dobby and Gollum?

Yes, Anne Frank.  She inspires me so much.
