Name Change!

I've decided to change my name to Seadragon because I think it's much more interesting than PhoebeSR, which is essentially my real name and slightly boring. I joined 7 months ago exactly but haven't done all that much (this is my 2nd thread) and don't often venture outside the Inkwell. Still. In case anyone wants to know anything about me (I never did an introduction thread) I'm going to be 11 in January, read a lot of books, and am obsessed with two things, which are swimming and trains. And that is essentially it.

Ooh, the name Seadragon sounds really pretty! I love trains too (well, I like riding in them).

Thanks. How often do you ride trains? I encounter working trains about half of how often I want to. Where I live there is a one-line service that goes from Larkspur (which is good, because there's a ferry service there) to the airport about 35 miles north of there without stopping in our town at all, and more in the east and south of San Francisco Bay. I live north of its farthest reaches (there are no running trains in our town). I've also taken Amtrak to Monterey via a bus from Salinas, which is the longest I've ever been on a train (4 hours, same as driving).

I've only rarely been on trains *weeps* Usually my family and I just take planes, but we're really not traveling much right now because of COVID... I know, that sounds weird, but that's how it is with us.

You've been to Monterrey? That's wonderful, did you enjoy it?

I did. The one we visited (it turns out that there are 2, one in Mexico and one closer to where I am, and we visited the latter) is about 120 miles south of San Francisco. The most enjoyable thing was probably the sea otter I saw.
Do you travel anywhere repeatedly? This was my second time in Monterey, I've been there to see friends who moved.

I love the change! Seadragon is such a evocative name (although I also really like the flow of of "Pheobe" fo some reason)!

Thanks. The Sea Dragons are the swim team that I'm on, so I've named myself after them, but there's a certain mystical element of dragon and sea that is interesting to have.
