I've been feeling kind of down lately so I thought I'd start one of these. It's easy to see everything in a negative light when you're having a bad day, but the truth is there usually is some good somewhere. Just try and find one good thing in your day, and if you can't find one, create one. Read your favorite book, write a story, watch your favorite show, listen to your favorite song, go for a walk as the sun is setting (sunsets are gorgeous and it's a surreal feeling walking around during the sunset), whatever makes you happy.
Today I was happy because I got to listen to some really good music.

I was happy today cause I got to go on a hike, and I wrote almost a full page on my longest work-in-progress yet! Been feeling burnt out lately so that's pretty good!

I'm happy today because for the last few days I've consistently written ~1,000 words per day, which is five time my target word count! I've always struggled with how little I actually write, so this has been super validating for me :)))

Pretty much none of my friends were around today, so I had very low expectations. But it was weirdly the best day of my week? Most of my not-as-nice friends weren't here to ruin anything good that happened with my nicer friends, but my nicer friends weren't really around either. I actually ended up talking to one of the only sorta-friends of mine who used to be close with me but has been sorta mean and distant lately, and it was a lot better than I expected. And I talked to a less close friend I hadn't talked to in a while, and it was okay. But other than that, mostly none of my friends were really around, and it felt kind of nice to take a break. Maybe I just needed to breathe. So yeah, today I was happy, but I didn't expect it.

I'm happy today because I got into a super competitive summer program for foreign policy! It's going to be for a week and I'll get to stay in a dorm on campus. Plus, it's really expensive but I got a scholarship :D

Everyone on this thread is happy, which makes me happy. Actually, the entire CB makes me happy. You guys are almost like a huge extended family (this is the second time I've said this today but it's true :D).

Today I went to a school dance and although some of my friends still suck, it was pretty good! I danced with my two great friends, they played some music from our recent musical, my crush briefly acknowledged I exsist (makes me feel so special even though they said like four words to me, still counts-). So that was all great, and I'm really happy because I thought I'd have a bad time especially because of said bad friends but instead I had a great time and I didn't need them to make that happen for me - I did it myself!
