About the bat hawk:

An acrobatic, swift-like raptor with angular wings and a massive gape; capable of snatching prey from the air and devouring it in a flash while still on the wing. Dark with varying amounts of white on the underside; African birds have patchy white throughout the underparts, while white is restricted to the throat and lower belly on New Guinean birds and solely to the throat in Southeast Asian birds. Inactive during the day; hunts at dawn and dusk, and occasionally into the night if light is sufficient. Generally uncommon and localized, most reliably encountered near large bat roosts in forested areas, but can also be seen over open forest, fields, and fringes of habitation.

No I'm not. Wouldn't that be a little too obvious?

Wow.

I just revealed my identity without even knowing it! XD

Sorry, I guess I type my name out of habit without realizing that I was supposed to write bat hawk. Ha, so much for the secret identity!

A beautiful but underappreciated bird species that always brings a smile to my face whenever I see them in my backyard, wandering around.

Yep. Don't have any guesses, besides Bat Hawk, who may possibly be Hawkstar or Peregrine Falcon.

NEW ZEALAND BIRDS!! Hello kiwi!

I am critically endangered because of habitat loss, the introduction of new predators (invasive species that eat us, our chicks, our eggs, which are especially vulnerable bc only females raise our young, and they DO have to hunt!), and hunting (for our feathers and meat)! I am also called the "owl parrot" and am the largest parrot in the world, am nocturnal, live in the ground (ground-dwelling), and can't fly (the only flightless parrot). Us kākāpō might even be one of the longest living birds, my lifespan can be 50-100 years long (100 according to Wikipedia)! As you can see, I'm very unique, help save me!! Please? There are only 248 living individuals of my species as of 2023! Look us up, we're also very cute!

I like vermilion flycatchers because they're so brightly colored and cute-looking.

@Kakapo, I agree that kakapo birds are adorable. Are you CelineBurningBright?

@Bat Hawk, are you Peregrine Falcon?

@Seagull, are you Darkvine? A question: why do seagulls hang out in parking lots so much? Perhaps you could enlighten me?

@kiwi, are you Lupine?
