Verse Of The

Verse Of The Day?

Basically, this is not limited by religon or anything, but I will post Bible verses here whenever I can, and hopefully they lift anyone's spirits and help you take on another day :)

@Admins, I promise that I'm not making this a limited view, or anything, but I have seen a lot of people being sad and depressed, and the verses I have ready to go are very uplifting and truthful, so nothing will be excluding or mean.

Thank you for clicking on here and perhaps this will make you feel encouraged like I do whenever I read the Bible. :D

We encourage everyone to post inspirational quotes from any source on this thread. If not your own original work, please include the source of your quote.

"Let all that you do be done in love." - 1 Corinthians 16:14

Ahhh, good one!

'And he said to his disciples,

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life,

what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.

For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.

Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap,

they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them.

Of how much more value are you than the birds! '
Luke 12:22-24

don't have a specific verse, but i am a big fan of the violent, angry, downright nasty psalms. there are plenty! psalms are representative of prayers, and it's incredible that we're allowed to speak our minds to God regardless of how messed up the contents are.

psalm 35, psalm 109, stuff like that.

Yeah, I like Psalm 35:28 ("My tongue will proclaim your righteousness, your praises all day long.'). So much truth and goodness in talking to God, am I right?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God." - John 1:1

that's a good one. i... i don't know if "prefer" is the right word, but i really like the old testament. I think the themes of the old and new testament are so, so, so different. i enjoy any attempt made by new testament writers to make them seem more coherent, and more like components of one thing.

They are quite different! I feel like the old testament is a bit more like a story or picture, while the new testament is more of teachings (well both have them but I feel like the new testament emphasizes it more)

One of my favorite ones: "fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10, ESV

Oh yes! Once when I was a little girl of eight or so, I was super scared in my bedroom at night. I believe it was that verse I heard echo through my mind that comforted me so very much!!! I fell asleep right after that :)

You know, I've never particularly liked reading the Bible and always found it a tad bit dry (although you can probably thank the antiquated language of the KJV for that), but this verse is exactly what I needed today. <3
