This is interesting! It definitely gives me more of an idea of how to think or speak of people like that whenever I meet someone who is trans or whatnot. I was actually wondering what you called a girl/boy friend the other day! I assumed theyfriend, but the others fit too :)

as the specific sort of enby who doesn't pay terrible attention to any of this stuff, it is very interesting! for me, it's always been more disinterest with gendered roles than any real aversion to them. i've always had interest mainly in in it/its or they/them pronouns.

all that said, i would absolutely LOSE MY MIND if someone called me "citizen." AWESOME.

and hey, gallium, i'm glad you're doing this!

Yeah, me too. If I had to choose a label, I guess it would be agender, since I don't have any inclination to any of them really. But also I kind of don't care that much.

Thank you1 :)

For girl/boy friend, "significant other" works, too (aaaand this just makes me thing of "significant annoyance" thing w/Solangelo in the Hidden Oracle)

GALLIUM HIII!! haven't seen you around lately! how've you been? :D

those are all great! i write a lot of fantasy with genderqueer characters, and it's sometimes kind of hard to come up with gender neutral terms! it's crazy how much gendered terms have been embedded into our society.

here's some more~

king/queen: monarch, ruler, sovereign, quing, their/other possessive pronoun highness/majesty

princess/prince: i've used princex and heir like Scuttles said, and also their/other possessive pronoun highness/majesty

girl/boyfriend: partner & significant other also work!

god/goddess: goddex, deity

lord/lady/duke/dutchess/etc: liege, sovereign, noble

sir/ma'am: i've also heard captain~
