DiD yOu KnOw???

DiD yOu KnOw??? I was born with half an arm, (my left arm) But I can do ☺everything☺ like everybuggy, just in a different way!!!

I've met people born without legs or fingers, too. It's VERY rare for any of this to happen, though. Only LESS THAN 2/10 of a percent can have it happen. That's, like, not a lot.

I forget about it a lot. I just try to be myself and have fun. Sometimes people will ask me what happened, but I just tell them the truth! There's nothing wrong with that.

In the winter we hem my long sleeved shirts. That means we cut off the left sleeve and sew it. I have half a tennis ball on my bike to rest my left arm in. I actually am typing with a one-handed keyboard right now.

It just kind of looks like an arm going down to the elbow. Except I do have five ittle fingers; they look like dots.

There's nothing to be afraid of, I'm still the same person, just like ya'll! Luuuuurv ya, CB! Byeas!

Emma, I have a neighbor in her eighties who was born with only one full arm. She raised four children and does everything, and no one thinks of her as handicapped in any way!

Coming back from camp, I have something to add.  My counselor had seven fingers, five on her left, and two on her right.  She played the piano really, really well!  I was able to sit above her in a loft while she performed and her right hand was running up and down the keyboard at lightning speed and was still really accurate.  She played this one piece that had a lot of octaves in it, so she used this octave stick that allowed her to play them easily.  This is sort of how it looks:

except for the fact that the two slanted lines on the top go all the way down to the big line and cross.  She holds those slanted lines and is able to play octaves without a problem.  She was also really good at picking it up and putting it down really easily.  I was really inspired by her, because she was able to overcome her disabilities and become an amazing pianist.

I'm touched, Emma. I hope no one ever teases you about that, or you better tell me their names and where they live... :D. ANYWAY, that's really inspiring, and I just want you to know that I support you in every way. Have fun, Emma!
