The Star Shard

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

The Star Shard

The Star Shard

I was just reading my old issues of Cricket from a long time ago and saw The Star Shard. I love this story, it is soooo awesome! And the illustrations are beautiful! Cricket, do you know if there's a place where I could see all of the illustrations that were in it? I started getting Cricket a while after The Star Shard started. Also, do you know if it is in a book form? Thanks! :)

Emily, a longer version of The Star Shard is due out in book form in fall 2011. We'll post more info when available. All the episodes from Cricket were posted on our Web site, but I'm not sure if they're still there or not. You could look around. If I get more information, I'll let you know.

You might look for all the episodes at a library. The story ran in Cricket from April 2008 through April 2009.

The episodes are still there, if hard to find (they're here: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/starshard), but they don't have the illustrations. I think they're on Emily Figenschuh's website, though.

Star Shard author Frederic Durbin just informed us today that all the art can be found on the Emily Fiegenschuh's Web site at:
