Are the threads in any particular order????? Some recent ones are at the top and some are at the bottom. This is so confusing!!!!!! Help appreciated...

 

No particular order and we have no control over where they go. Often threads do go from the front to the back. You just have to hunt.

Oh, they are in a particular order; it's just hard to learn it at first. Generally, the more recent threads are at the front, but when someone first comments on a thread, it goes to the back, and someone has to comment again for it to move to the front, which might happen immediately or not until moderation. That's what people mean when they post a comment saying 'Top!' or "To the top!" They're trying to get it to the front page. Anyway, there are definitely no recent threads in the middle, and you'll be fine if you just read the first and last page, maybe occasionally the second or second-to-last depending on how often people post on a given forum at a given time. You'll get used to it eventually. :)

Okay, thanks. So if I'm looking for a particular thread, I will either look in the front or the back. Do you have any idea if there will be any in the middle? I hope not because otherwise it would take a lot of time to find them. :)

 

As Ima just said, probably not in the middle.

Instead of even going to the back, you can press the "Sumbmitted By" button (at the top of each page) on the front page twice, and then the threads will be in the absolute most recent order, whether the most recent thread is in the back, or at the bottom of page 1.  At least this works for me! :)

Yeah, Ima's right. They are in an order. Just confusing. The most recent and the ones with the most recent comments are on the front page. If you lost a thread just browse around in the last pages. That's what I do, and I mostly find the ones I'm lookin' for.
