Alas, our beloved calico cat, Cinder, died a few years ago at age 22 (human years). That's very old for a cat! In her prime, she was great at playing volleyball with a crumpled wad of paper. She could always return whatever came her way. Her strange characteristic was trying to eat any string or ribbon she could find; then it would make her six. I even found her trying to swallow a threaded needle she'd found in a pincushion on top of a bookcase. So we did away with all ribbon on gifts, tinsel on the tree, and Easter grass.

Here's my very sad addition:
First pet: A hamster named Belle. I got her for my birthday when I was seven. She died a few years later.
Second pet: A rabbit named Schadrach. He liked to eat, drink, hop, and make his cage dirty. I did NOT like cleaning up after him. Apparently he enjoyed making me do it. We gave him away to someone else after about a year or less.
Third pet: A beta fish named Lily. She like to swim, and, unfortunately, died the day after we got her.
Fourth and final pet: Another beta fish named Lily 2. She lived for a few days until we had to go on vacation. When we got back three weeks later, we took her back, and she died that next morning.
We haven't had very much luck with our pets, but at least I can say that we have had four pets!

Birthday: We got her from a shelter, so we don't know. We celebrate it the day we got her, May 14.
Species: Doestic dog
Breed: German Shepherd mix
Hobbies: Sleeping, being petted, stalking small creatures (Luckily, she doesn't manage to catch them. Unfortunately, though, she did hurt a field mouse...), going on walks
Favorite Book: Er, she can't read.
Music: She doesn't listen to any. I don't think she quite grasps the concept, actually.

I've had 3 frogs, several fish, and 12 snails in the past, but I don't have them anymore, and it would take too long to record them.

Birthday: Umm I think it's June 25th
Species: Dog; beagle/boxer mix
Hobbies: chasing and sometimes catching squirrels, possums, raccoons, rats, mice, and rabbits. Eating various things, sleeping in the sun, rolling around in the grass, playing with various toys, and barking at other dogs.
Well if it's okay I'll do my other pets.

@ Admin- It scared me to think of what could've happened if she'd eaten that needle...
@Princess P.- Oh dear! I'm so sorry! I also had two fish (Tiger and Goldie (I'm not sure about Goldie...) Tiger lasted for... Not that long and when he died, my dad flushed him. I think I shed every tear in my body. Goldie died while changing her/his water. I made sure to burry him/her
@Ima- Wow! How do you keep snails as pets?? Oh and that's cool that you have the same birthday as Shiloh!!

It depends on the snail. I bought the first 2 at the pet store (They were aquatic), and they lived in a tank with my fish. They ate unwanted algae and fish refuse. Later, after they had died, I bought 2 plants for the fish tank, and they turned out to have about 9 (They were so tiny you could never find all of them at once) baby, aquatic snails on them, so we kept them. They ate the same things as the other snails, but unfortunately, all but 3 of them died before they could grow up. Later, someone gave me a wild snail as a pet, but I released it after a day or so, mainly because I had no idea what it ate, and it kept retreating into its shell, which probably meant it wasn't very happy. I still count him/her as one of my pets, though, since I named him/her. Unfortunately, I can't remember what his/her name actually was...

I have a German shepherd/black lab mix. She's 120 pounds.... HUGE!!! Her name's Maya. We got that from the movie Eight Below, I believe; the lead dog is named Maya. My dog is very lazy... she really doesn't do anything! I used to have two baby turtles but they grew very quickly, and I couldn't afford to keep them properly accommodated. Meaning, a bigger tank and filter, and I had no place to put a larger tank. But I ADORED them while they lasted.

Hobbies: Eating, Hiding in the little back room of her hutch.
Appearance: Dark paws, ears, muzzle, and tail. The rest of her fur is sort of brownish red or reddish brown.

Age: about 2, 2 1/2

Hobbies: Eating, Hiding. The usual.
Appearance: Her fur is sort of butterscotch color with white on her under side and paws.

Hobbies: Trying to keep the hens from being eaten, trying to keep the hens from pecking each other.
Appearance: Hard to explain. Gold and black pattern with a long green tail.
We also have a blue parakeet that is like 8 years old, I think, and three zebra finchs: Two male one female. And five chickens. We are going to get three more to replace the ones that died.

I don't remember any before these, but I know there were a few.
Pet#1: Jar Jar. Goldfish. Died after nine months or so. :(
Pet #2: Boss Nass. Goldfish. Died after six months or so. :(
Pet#3: Cleopatra. Goldfish. Died after three months or so. :( :(
Pet #4: Asterix (sic). Died after ten months or so. :(
Pet #5: Obelix. Still alive, though occasionally not looking well, and the only pet I've had within the scope of my memory to live past a year. :/
And I may not ever get another pet. *determined emoticon*
