Okay, are there any boys on here? Just wondering because I haven't seen any unless they are using a different name. But if you are a boy...

I never thought about that but you're right. It's not like in Real Life when someone is talking and then everyone stops and waits for you to say something when the subject doesn't interest you at all!

I actully thought that this was posted by a boy, only for boys to post on... But then I saw it said "A girl" and I did what you all did "it's about boys!" I don't think it's "icky" but really that stuff doesn't interest me at all... I mean I have a crush, but not like a boyfriend, like a really good friend I like... I am only 11....

@ Elizabeth M: You are so right!

I remember there being quit a few boys (Or I thought they were boys).  Pirocks, Enceladus (absolutely no idea how to spell his name...) Tim, Rueben and more.  Yes, some thought I was a boy also.  But the way I do the "~" seems pretty feminine to me. :)

And there was Nathan, too.

I wonder why there aren't a lot of boys... DO girls read more?

Most of the boys I know have reading taste much more like ours than most of the girls I know. Do girls visit more forums like this?

Come to think of it, at this point, they might decide it isn't worth coming here because there are no other boys.

YES!  I've also noticed that in Cricket itself *gasps* there are WAAAAAY more stories with female protagonists/heroines/narrators than ones with male...  I think at this age it just started tilting a bit that way, maybe because boys tend to be more interested in blowing things up on video games (although that interests me too, more from a humor point of view though, like "This is really funny, all this blowing things up, why do people like it?" while all the time I'm shooting everything in sight on the screen, including myself) and so such things became known as "sissy" or "girlygirl" or just "girl" things, and for boys ever after that there was a certain stigma attached to it, and no one was interested!  But I think the few boys who DO read Cricket just don't like the idea of being on CB with a hundred girls or so... maybe they took one look and said "forget it."  I think boys tend to feel awkward around a lot of girls.  So pretty much all the boys around here post under nicknames or pseudonyms, like Pirocks/Enceladus or someone else nameed something like PsYcOducYs, I think... perhaps that's so they won't be treated any differently, or so that they'll be able to listen in on girly conversations that they have a certain innate curiosity about... boys are strange things... I wonder if I'll ever get married...  How about you?

I very much agree with you but I wish some did come... I mean there are seriously hardly any boys.

Oh... I don't know. If I ever fall in love, I'll want to get married, but I don't know how likely that is.

So do I! But I think it's highly unlikely I'll find my future husband on here!  I'll have to wait until college.

That would be really weird, if my future husband was on here! I don't think it's very likely, though.

I didn't mean that I want to find my future husband here! That'll happen later... I just think it's kind of sad that no boys have the nerve to join some totally awesome girls... Oh well! We're awesome... :)

Yeah.  I doubt anyone has ever found their future husband on the CB.  Plus I don't think it's been arund THAT long that two kids would meet on it and then grow up to an age ;) so they could get married.  The first and oldest kids on CB are probably only 18 or so now.  Although they could be boyfriend and girlfriend.  Anyway, that's a long sidetrack!  How narrow can we make the windows?

The first CBers aren't necessarily the oldest. Most of them were younger then than most of us. At the moment, most of us seem to be 13, 15, or 16, but the average age used to be around 10-11-12. Even now, though, the oldest frequent poster is 17. Also, unfortunately, many original CBers have left.
