As a matter of fact, yes. I actually live in a tiny suburb that is directly west of Chicago and touches it on one corner- kind of like Chicago is Colorado, my town, River Forest, is Arizona, and Oak Park is New Mexico. Suprisingly, of lot of people have heard of Oak Park, because it was home to Frank Llyod Wright (archetict) and Ernest Hemingway (writer). Oh yeah, and Frederic S. Durbin, the guy who wrote the Star Shard, actually studied at Concordia College in River Forest.
But I say I'm from Chicago, because nobody's ever heard of River Forest, and if I say suburb, they assume someplace that's forty miles away!
