Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Post-horror movies?

Post-horror movies?

I just watched Paranormal Activity 2 at my friend's house for her birthday. It was the first horror movie I've ever seen. I'm going to have a bit of trouble sleeping tonight, but I found that watching some How It Should Have Ended helped un-scare me.

Anyway, I don't really want to go to bed tonight. :/ Any other advice?

"Think happy thoughts!" I think that's what Peter Pan said to Wendy, John, and Michael when teaching them how to fly. Think about "your favorite things and then" you "won't feel so bad." (like Tim Horton's!) And that's from My Favorite Things in The Sound of Music.

I just can't watch horror movies at all. But listening to music usually distracts my mind long enough for my subconscious to let me have good dreams. :)

OOOhhhh!!! I love My Favourite Things! And Tim Horton's! :D

We bought a couple bags of Tim Horton's coffee and had some for breakfast today here in Illinois!

@Admin: Did you eat a poutine as well? :p

Watching horror movie reviews help loads.

No, I didn't notice that on their menu. This was in Michigan. Maybe they only have that in Canada? I must admit I had an apple fritter. Last time I had a maple glazed doughnut.

I was just kidding about the poutine, because they're Canadian and Tim Horton's is Canadian... okay, I'll stop now.

And I've never seen an apple fritter before. But I mostly just go through the drive-thru and order a muffin or AN ICE CAPP! Or a smoothie. (they're like the ones from McDonalds apparently)

@Melody: I do that a lot and it helps!

Think about how they did the special effects to make everything look so scary.

Being a music nut myself, I just focus on the music. It works for me!

I read and write horror fanfiction for the Tolkien universe (yes, I know, seems uncharacteristic, but there's more opportunuties than you'd think) but other than that I don't have much experience with the genre.  (Except when I looked at the Wikipedia article for Silence of the Lambs. *shudder*)
