Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Own Characters.

Own Characters.

Is there a character that acts as your self insert? Your oldest one? The one, at least, that you got your name on the CB from? Maybe at least one of the above?

I do. Well, technically, she's not my oldest one. My oldest is Sylvia. She was a crazy dryad who set squirrels on people. Wait, no, my oldest self-insert was Myrtle, a Mary Sue who was friends with a girl named Rose. And who reads HP during resess. And then there was Lily/Carol. But, other than that, Tiffany. . . . . . . . .

She grew up so much with me. She used to live in the Enchanted Forest when I was obsessed with those. She appeared in Hogwarts sometimes. Always, wherever I went, Tiffany Wosapom went with me, but NOW.....

I did some spring cleaning!!!
-Tiffany's last name is Wiralod (writer in roleplays and lover of dragons) instead of Wosapom (writer of stories and protector of Mendanbar).

-Her story is now fully mine, not J.K. Rowling's or Pat Wrede's.

-She lives in Starlake Forest.

-Silv is an evil piece of silver, and not a cute boyfriend.

-Luke is history.

-Time for the era of Sirius and Kale

-In with pockets, out with belt pouches

But anyway, what are the stories of YOUR main characters, self inserts, OCs, or whatever. And maybe, just maybe, we might do a character lounge. If anyone replies to this.

You  have a character that's an evil piece of silver? Awesome.
I don't currently have any self-inserts. I don't think. I have never consciously done a self-insert, except Corelle maybe went that direction... okay, maybe I knew what I was doing. But she's not beyond salvage. That's because she wasn't a complete Sue- she had my faults. Like distractability, and stubbornness.

TOP!

Did you know that I stole the name Morra from a book?

Mes self-inserts were a bunch of characters from either stories or RPs from long ago who I won't bother to remember because they were all a bunch of Sues or too much self-flattery. :/

I have two. Both of which appear in the same story at least twice, generally as people who don't like each other very much. Make of that what you will.

Thursday, partially rechristened to Terpsichore*/Terry of late for reasons we won't get into, is older, having been around since I was... um... in middle school sometime. She originated from a game I played with my sister once (it was a good game!) and has been evolving ever since.

Depending upon the setting she either looks like me—tall, long light-brown hair, thin and pale—or she's a bit small and sick-looking with severely atrophied legs due to a childhood illness (which I'm... pretty sure... came from my own horrific childhood leg trauma with the spiral fracture and subsequent gait oddities and the fact that I can't sit down for long periods of time without shooting pain up and down my sciatic nerve. Yay!). She always has my sense of humor and arrogance and an only-slightly-exaggerated version of my tendency towards cynicism/misanthropy, and a tendency to overanalyze things. She used to be a Sue, but I beat it out of her a few years ago.

The other one, known rather unimaginatively as Chaos and recently rechristened as Havot, came from a very long, pseudo-RP-ish email conversation I had with a friend of mine, in which I was the personification of Chaos (surprise surprise) and he of Fate. Or something along those lines. No, I don't know how this got started, but it did.

She's always a deity of some form and never a main character—though her tendency to break the rules means she's less scrupulous about Not Interfering Directly than the rest of the TNÖverse pantheon is. Appearance-wise, she's little more than very pale skin stretched over a skeleton and held together with, well, god-powers, with a lot of black hair that's always in motion and turns to black fire when she's feeling particularly emotional. And a purple scarf. The purple scarf is important, as it's rather her signature. Eyes are empty holes, from which purple fire will leak if she's angry or enjoying herself particularly. Her main character trait is that she's unpredictable, which stems from a terror of being bored—she'd do just about anything to keep herself entertained. She's less of a straight self-insert than Thursday/Terpsichore is, and more of an avatar for me to spew sarcasm through and move the plot along when necessary. Although she keeps my proneness for non-sequiturs and nonsensical comparisons and absolutely bipolar sense of justice—which is to say she likes it when it suits her—and inability to apologize with a straight face.

So yeah.

I wrote this little picture book in fourth grade where the main character was a princess named after me (my real name).  I started to make a sequel to it, which was expanded into my first novel, then I changed the name.

I also started a role play under the name Annalesa Q.  It was about magic, and my friend from off the Chatterbox joined it.  My character was named Analesia.  I think you know how that turned out!
