I was wondering about the reasons people chose their "names" on Chatterbox. Did they choose because of a obsession, a nickname, a cool word, their real name or other? Personally I chose my name by finding the meaning of my first name, using it as a verb and placing it in front of the meaning for my middle name. It would also be nice to know how you choose your character names, pet names or any other type of name.

I used to be Analesia, who was one of my characters in a magic roleplay I made up. Now I'm Melody a) because it's a really pretty name in my opinion and b) because it's the name of Ariel's daughter (Disney/Little Mermaid connection!)
Neither of them are my real name.

Mine's pretty plain, no? Well, my real name is Martha, and Mattie is a nickname for Martha, if not one that people call me. So I'm Martha.

I've been using TNÖ for online things since middle school. It stands for The Nearly Omnipotent, + umlauts because umlauts are cool.
When I'm choosing names for fictional characters, I use Behind the Name, because it's a well-designed and easy to navigate site with a huge database and I like having meaninful name.
When I'm choosing names for pets, it tends to be very literal. I had a gecko named Gecko for a very long time. Dogs and cats, regardless of their actual names, always end up as "dog" and "cat" in my mind—which makes things interesting when there's more than one. It's a bit like having a lot of Igors around.

Piper Conway, who I used to be, was a character in the story I was working on at the time. Everinne is also a make-believe person in my imagination, and I made up her name. Ever because that's such a fantastic word and the "rinne" because I have an obsession with names that start with r.

When I started, I was not allowed to put my real name on the internet. Brynne was a name I liked at the time (and still do, though not as much as I originally did), so that was who I became on Chatterbox!

I don't even like my name anymore--I was 10 when I chose it, and I suppose I've changed a lot in 4 years. I'm not sure I want to change it, though; I've definitely gotten used to it. It's kind of the name I associate with the ChatterBox (oh, dear, that probably sounded narcissistic--I mean it's the name I associate with the ChatterBox in relationship to myself).

I use my real name. :) It's not that creative but I don't really feel like having a made-up name so that's why I just left myself as Elizabeth M. :D

I chose Holmes because in third grade I was obsessed with Sherlock Holmes. I started writing Holmes on my school papers, so yeah. I was reading Lord of the Rings one day, and in a thread I was the only one who posted on, I decided to use Gollum for fun. I like Gollum better than Holmes, now. I chose my location because recently I started feeling "OMG! Redwall is amazing!"

Sakura Olivia C. is my main pen name that I go by (I have about a bajillion others); it has to do with my language classes in sixth grade. Kinda random..
