FOOD!!! OK, for

FOOD!!! OK, for my religion, we do this thing called Lent where you give up soemthing important to you for about a month. This year I am going to give up meat, and go vegetarian! My only problem is this: I play a lot of sports, so I need some cold hard protein to keep me going without eating meat. Any suggestions? I already am betting on beans, eggs, and peanut butter, any others?

OK, I don't have any ideas. (Maybe that's why I'm always hungry.) But I wanted to say:  YAY, KOFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Good for you!!!!!!!!!!  Oh, and in case you're wondering, I'm a vegetarian. I have been since the day I was born.  I can't say I was before that, because even though my mom says she was a veggie, while she was pregnant, she craved tuna (YUCK!!!!!) aaaalll the time.  Hmm...  if I think of anything though, I'll tell you!!!!!!!  :)

My family goes to Mass every other day of the week (Moday, Wednesday, Friday, and then Saturday or Sunday Mass). I am a lector and an altar server sometimes. If you want to learn more about the Catholic Faith, Koffee, you could read The New Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism. It would probably answer most of your questions. Has anybody else read this?

To Mary Joe- That's awesome that you go every other day! My family goes twice a week, normally on Tuesday or Thursday, and then on Sunday. To Koffee- the Christian faith isn't quite like the Catholic faith. Catholics are Christians, but they also believe that bread and wine turns into Jesus's Body and Blood. We believe that it's not just a symbol, but that it actually is Jesus.
