You can tell

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

You can tell

You can tell a lot about a person's character by the posessions on their desk or dresser. Go find yours and list the items on it. My desk is much too messy, so I'll list a few things on my dresser.

-Stuff you normally find on dressers

-Gollum's heart (Not the CB Gollum, I have a friend named Gollum and I was toting his heart around in my pocket for a while but I put it on my desk. I just switched it with the item I described in L's item SI.)

-A cowbell. I need more of these.

-A small pile of Pokemon games

-A watermelon shaped candle

-A photo of Kero-chan and her family. It's a pretty old photo.

-A butter knife. What's the point of this, you ask? I have an electronic bank that doesn't work anymore and I need a lever to open it. The blade of the butter knife works beautifully. It's also good for creeping out people.

-The bank I just mentioned

-A pile of Pokemon cards

-A DVD of a documentary that Supi, Eriol, and I made for a project

-A small pile of coupons. Occasionally, there will be a Barnes and Noble coupon in this pile, but those get used way too fast. Mostly, they are just coupons for movies and ice cream and stuff like that that I never use

-Several paper animals

-Keepsakes from my grandparents (bucket of cheap plastic animals which I took from my grandmother's house after she died, a wooden bird my other grandmother gave me, a gargoyle my dead grandmother gave me when I graduated kindergarten)

-Hawk feathers

-A ceramic turkey

-Some erasers that I mutated. They were once a duck and a pufferfish, but now... also, I think there was a sandal at some point. I'm not sure.

-A couple notepads

-A Pokemon napkin. I got the napkin in fourth grade, I think, and I've placed my paper animals, my gargoyle, and my wooden bird on it.

-Rocks

-the Emperor and Emperess of Heaven

-A fish aquarium plastic plant

There's more, but it's mostly mundane stuff. I'm incredibly meticulous about everything except my room. And here you go. My dresser, in all its messy glory!

I'll do my desk for now.

-My trusty computer! (includes monitor and hard drive)

-A paper mat filled with doodles.

-A giant blue container with my collection of 100+ pencils.

-A blue cup.

-Some awful school pictures of me.

-A CD that came with a Wendy's Kids Meal. How it got in my room, I don't know.

-7 mechanical pencils, all of which are aching for lead/graphite/insert proper term here.

-A pink pen.

-A broken pencil sharperner.

-A
bulletin board which features many interesting curiosities, including a
Washington Zoo pennant, a "You Can Make A Difference!" Lorax-themed
valentine, wind chimes, a stupid athletic letter (those things athletes
iron on their big eighties sports jackets) I got for making Principal's
List one year, some ink art, a newspaper clipping, a colorful drawing
titled "Dreams", a logo, and a collage a friend made for me.

-A
storage bin, which contains notebooks, marbles, crayons, oddly shaped
erasers, a strange toy, disappearing ink, and Post-Its. Amongst other
things.

-A jumbo wooden paper clip. I'll add a picture later as an example.

-PENCIL SHAVINGS

-A
blue, plastic...thing. It used to hold a huge stack of papers, and I
would take them out and use them for various art projects. Now it is
empty because of said projects and doodles and other endeavors.

-A battery (?).

-A rubber thing. Several rubber things, actually.

-Speakers.

-A microphone, for making improvised recordings of meeeeee!

-Some papers about setting up an online forum and a packing list.

-The CD that came with my calculator.

So
what can we deduct from this investigation of WritingWarrior's desk?
She loves blue, dabbles in the arts, needs to store her CDs and other
items better, and needs to clean up her pencil shavings. (That last part
especially.)

I think we might need a seperate thread just for everything we put on our bulletin boards, if we have them!

I don't have a dresser, but I do have a desk. My desk is white and has a mirror on it. Surprisingly, it is pretty clean.

- a blue flowered placemat type thing

- a wooden box filled with pencils and pens

- three small bottles of lotion

- a trophy

- a small bowl I made of clay for paperclips, rubberbands, or coins

- an heart-shaped earring holder

- a piece of soapstone I carved into a cat's head

- a notebook

That's all that is on my desk, in my desk drawer I have...

- batteries

- a candle

- earbuds

- tacks

- a key

- a tin full of stickers

- tape

- special newspaper articles

- chocolate

- thumbdrive

I keep all my paper, notebooks, dictionary, thesaurus, and a bunch of other stuff in  purple and pink drawers next to my desk. My art supplies sit in a white wicker basket on top of the drawers.
