Nothing now. But I just finished reading the awesome Pixar-movie-based graphic novel Monsters Inc.: Laugh Factory and I will probably read either the Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz comic book version or Sky Island next.

6) What was the last movie you watched?

Now You See Me. SUPER COOL MOVIE, though a little confusing.

7) When was the last time you were at a grocery store?

I'm not sure.

back to the Down to Earth

1) What are you wearing?

Yellow-orange shorts (frayed from being worn so much as pajamas), a badly stained white t-shirt with a pocket (also pajamas), five bracelets, and blue, green, and brown glasses.

2) What are you listening to?

"Chanson," a really lovely song from a musical called The Baker's Wife (also lovely). This version is from the original 1976 cast recording and sung by Teri Ralston (whose voice is also lovely). The librettist is Joseph Stein (who also did Fiddler on the Roof's libretto), and the composer/lyricist is Stephen Schwartz (who did Wicked, Pocahontas, Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame and its German stage adaptation, Pippin, Godspell, and Children of Eden. I think he's my second-favorite lyricist ever).

3) What other tabs do you have open?

"Chanson," on YouTube because I haven't bought the recording yet (but I certainly plan to; the London one (which is way more complete) is gorgeous, and the little I've heard from this one is even better), and a list of productions of The Nutcracker (I just started watching the George Balanchine one, and it was so saccharine that I couldn't even finish it. I'm hoping others might be better, in particular the one Maurice Sendak was involved with).

4) What are you having for dinner?

A leftover dish of rice, pinto beans, garbanzo beans, and lots of spice (also, chili oil and garlic).

5) What are you reading? 

Les Miserables (Hapgood translation, unabridged. I want to read other translations, but I already started this one, so it's going first). 

6) What was the last movie you watched?

Jekyll & Hyde, the musical (composer Wildhorn, I don't remember who did the lyrics and libretto because I usually only remember the names of ones I like). The score was certainly better than in previous versions (I have the OBCR and the Resurrection album), but David Hasselhoff kind of ruined the production. His acting seemed fake and artificial, and he kept not pronouncing the ends of words when he sang. It was kind of painful. And at one point, he pronounced the word "the" as "thee" before a consonant. The rest of the cast was good, though, especially Coleen Sexton as Lucy. I like the musical itself, although the lyrics are pretty weak.

7) When was the last time you were at a grocery store?

I don't know. It must have been several months ago, at least.

Stephen Schwartz is awesome.  Also, the Boston Ballet does a good Nutcracker.  I won tickets to it one year and it was really cool.

1. I am wearing my old gym shorts (They're very comfertable) and a tyedye T-shirt i think I bought in sixth grade for a project.

2. Evils Theater on iTunes. The current song is Aku no Musume (Daughter of Evil). Oh, now it's Aku no Meshitsukai (Servant of Evil).

3.  None. 

4. Not sure. Probably grilled salmon.

5. Dragon, the last book in The Five Ancestors. And I'm contemplating reading my copy of the Alice books. It is a very bad copy because it says it has annotations but the annotations are not very good and there's only about sixteen of them. 

6. Two nights ago, my parents and I watched a few The Big Bang Theory episodes. Does that count? It isn't techically a movie, but it came on a disk from Netflix, so...

7. A couple weeks ago. I remember I was in the frozen foods section and I saw a chocolate pie and I said sarcastically, "Wow, chocolate and pie, my favorites!" and then realised that most people would actually be sincere if they said that.

8. I made a long post on Maggie's page yesterday.

9. I stubbed my toe badly on the back deck yesterday. This is random, but I'm getting calluses on the ends of my toes from wearing shoes. 

10. Cereal for breakfast two hours ago.

11. I don't my parents would mind. They would probably mind the music, though.

2) my brother, cousin, and aunt's-best-friend's-son playing baseball on the Wii

4) I'm at a cookout, so probably a burger

5) Skating Shoes by Noel Streatfeild

6) Hocus Pocus.  It's so good and I've actually been to a lot of the places in the movie because Salem is relatively close to Boston.  The traffic there is awful during Haunted Happenings, their Halloween celebration.  I didn't get to watch the whole movie because Blu was already halfway through it when I woke up.

7) Yesterday, to get food for a pool party yesterday and the cookout today.

8) On Teresa'sthread giving her recommendations for different genres.

9) I just got a burn on my butt from going down my cousin's inflatable waterslide really fast.  And I have this really weird patch of peeling skin between my toes from wearing my flipflops too much, but I'm getting a pedicure on Sunday so that should go away.

10) Chips and onion dip and crackers and spreadable garlic and herb cheese.

11) Yep.  I asked my aunt for permission to use it.

1) I'm wearing white shorts, a gingham yellow and white spaghetti strap tank top over a bright yellow tank top and no jewelry, socks, or shoes.

2) I currently have most of my Pandora stations on shuffle except for a few of the annoying pop stations and holiday stations.  Actually, I think I'm going to go delete some of those pop stations.  Currently, the song is "Beat It" by Michael Jackson.
