Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I just had

I just had a thought: The Chatterboxers right now are about the size of a small militia. There are at least 20-30 of us. Why not gather as many people as possible and do a Nerdfighter-esque project? We could all team up and do a challenge like NaNoWriMo (but maybe something different), come up with something on a thread, or raise money for a charity! I've seen threads in the past where people have done "Vegan Challenges", where they went vegan for a month, and this would be like that, but we could come up with a new idea.

So yeah, random, but I think it would be fun! :) If we can take over the world, surely we can do something wholesome for ourselves and society.

I like this idea!  We should definitely do something like this.  The good thing is, we're very spread out, so we'll affect many areas.

That's a good idea! We should all do lemonade stands this summer and donate the money to a charity we choose here on the chatterbox! But they don't actually have to be just lemonade stands, they can be any way of making money.

We could all make a Project for Awesome video?

Good idea! Especially since so many of us are Nerdfighters.

I have an idea! We all should donate the money to our local SPCA! If you don't know what the SPCA is, it is an animal shelter and organization, but there are a bunch of them and if we all donate to our local one we would be helping lots of shelters. We could also recruit our friends and neighbors to help out! It will be so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is SPCA no-kill? There's a no-kill animal welfare society near my home, and the SPCA is a bit far...

Well I thought it was, but my mom just told me it's not. I guess you don't have to donate it to the SPCA if you don't want to, but we should all at least try to donate to the same kind of thing.

If we do something that raises money, I'd like to see part of the money go to a charity that helps children with cancer. Another idea is to give part of it to people in other countries who are starving. Of course whatever charity we give money to, we need to make sure that the supposed charity isn't a scam.

Maybe we could donate to one of the Oklahoma relief fund charities.

Yes! My grandparents live down there and lost their house in the 1999 tornado and the May 2013 was less than a mile from their house!

Maybe since we're mostly kids ourselves,  we could donate to an organization that helps kids our ages. Like we all love books, and that's the base of Cricket,  literacy. So maybe we could donate to an organization that gives books to kids who don't have any. Like Dolly Parton.
