i-r-l personality vs.

i-r-l personality vs. internet personality

Does your internet personality (that is, how you act online) differ from your i-r-l personality? If so, how?

i-r-l me

Depending on who it is, I'll be really rude or really sarcastic/nice. I am incredibly unemotional, according to my friends. I don't usually talk to people I don't know. I don't think I'm all that good in social situations but considering I've managed to fake that I'm happy for so long maybe not.

Internet me

On the CB I'm myself. On tumblr I'm an opinionated fangirl.

Eh, I act just as I would in real life on the internet. I like it that way. Then my friends online know me as the real me, not some other personality I made up.

Well, on the CB I'm like the real me, to an extent, seeing that I've been able to create two separate personas. Hmm. But on my blog I'm much more formal, and professional seeming. Actually, I'm kind of professional for kids my age. Which I can't spell, sadly enough. Oh well.

The real life me can differ. On average, I'm just goofy, sarcastic, yell a lot, use slang a lot to vent my common frustration. But when I'm around people, I'm very shy, and somehow always act like I belong in a mental home, plus talk WAY too much.

On here, I act fairly excitable, which, frankly, surprised me! I'm not usually a very "excitable" sort of person. I act weird, and laugh a lot, but I'm not overly happy go lucky. But on here, I always feel happy, excited, and somewhat perky whenever I'm on here. But then again, this is the only place I seem capable of talking to anyone normally, so I have to question what I'm REALLY like. I honestly don't know.

I don't know how I appear on the internet.  Probably slightly more exaggerated.  Or more evenly exaggerated.  I'm only partially exaggerated in certain fields of personality in real life.  I'm generally thinking about people inside my head, so that doesn't help my confusedness any.

Well, I sound basically the same as I do in the real world. Except probably a lot smarter, because I can think about what I'm about to say.

Yup. That's how I am

I think I'm basically the same on the internet as I am in real life. In real life I talk and laugh a lot, though. I don't think I do as much on the internet but I could be wrong... :)

I think I'm definitely the same on the CB as I am in real life. Maybe a little more touchy, since we do discuss things very close to my heart and I take things very seriously.

Oh, dear, Spam and Eggs almost said a swear word. Naughty, naughty.

i-r-l me

Really shy around strangers. Hardly even to speak around friends very much. Often sarcastic, loud and weird.

Internet me

Mostly the same. I'll use Caps a lot on some websites, Really, in some circumstances, I'll talk in more dreamy and imaginative ways, and dwell on faerie myths in my speeches. In real life, I'd probably relate faerie stories in a regular tone.

Since I'm not communicating with anyone face-to-face, being shy doesn't count. Although I have these fears that people won't like me if I speak my mind... so I tend to hold up as much as I can. I'm just a crazy, geeky person.

In-Real-Life:

I'm still bad at spelling, but I curse a lot more. I don't really curse at people, but more as a punctuation, but I'm really not as bad as most people I know. I also sometimes make slightly bad jokes. I blame being a teenager. Obviously, I don't do that here, because the Admins would not allow me to. I'm actually just as silly on the computer as in real life. And I bring up lemmings into my conversations whenever possible. I don't eat cupcakes, either. It's true!
