My Grand Adventure...

My Grand Adventure...

This doesn't have anything to do with anything, but I felt like sharing it. For some reason, when I woke up this morning, the joint of my big toe on my right foot completely hurt. It really, really, hurt to bend the toe or move it, and walking was a little painful. Still, I went to school like normal and limped around during my first two classes, History and Chemistry. Then I made it to P.E. I thought we would be playing badminton, which doesn't really involve as much foot movement as some other P.E. activities. But when I got in the gym...

P.E. teacher: We're doing stations today!

Me: Well, crud.

Teacher:  Move around the room and do all of the stations. This first station is a jumping station and there are three more of those around the room.

Me: Well, crud.

Teacher: Here, you're doing jumprope!

Me: Well, crud.

Teacher: Here, you're doing lunges!

Me: Well, crud.

Teacher: Here you're doing pushups, here situps, wallsits, jump into the air come back down and do a pushup (what are those called?), jump on and off this really tall box, mountain climbers, then sprint to the other side of the gym and do it again!

Me: ...

Friends: Ruby's cracked!

Me: Well, HOLY *BLEEEEEEEEP*!

Fascinatingly enough, I found out during mountain climbers that repeating the letter "f" over and over is an amazing stress relief. Oh, and I managed to twist my ankle during that.

On the way to English, my rival with a broken foot was moving faster than me. But he has crutches! Crutches! And a cast, I tell you! His backpack is also a good deal lighter than mine! Unfair, I say!

I hobbled around during lunch. Really. Hobbled. And then I went up a really long flight of stairs to get to Japanese. Wow, that was fun! *cheesy grin*

And down the stairs to get to math. And across the whole school. *wider cheesy grin*

Red and I walk home and I was feeling so bad by this point I was going to have Red carry me part of the way. But he had a test to do and he didn't know when he'd be done. So, that was a mile and a half all the way home. With a twenty pound backpack, a badly bruised and twisted ankle, and an aching toe joint.

Did I mention that I twisted the same ankle again on the way home?

Actually, I figured out that my limp is an impressive 3 miles per hour. Kind of useless information, but I'm sure it can come in handy somehow.

So how was your day today?

My day was better than yours, I can say that. And we actually did the jump-up-in-the-air-do-a-push-up-come-back-down thing as well, but conveniently enough I forgot its name, too. PE is awful for me even without a bruised toe because I'm awful at sports, but luckily we missed a lot of it today because we were loading canned food from our school's Halloween food drive into the bus.

There was also an All Saints Day Mass, in which I was surprised to find that the boys in my grade can actually sing. This is incredibly weird to get my head around.

Oh, and I prefer to say 'gah' multiple times, though it sounds more like "Gah. GAH. Gahhhh. Gagagah." F multiple times works too, though.

That's bad. I'm really sorry for you. I didn't have school yesterday. Those pushup things are called burpees, I don't know why.

I procrastinated most of the schoolday yesterday. I was thinking about my novel. XD Then in the evening, I stayed up til one in the morning throwing cupcakes and glitter at my lovely friends on Pencils to Paper. And doing some writing. But mostly throwing cupcakes and glittter. Actually, I should go write, since I'm procasinating right now. . . .

Oh gosh, sorry Ruby! I can relate. I busted my ankle a few weeks ago when I was running by stepping in a hole. A loud pop, I went down, and it's still bugging me even now. Try not to put a whole lot of weight on it. And even ice it. That'll help.

I wrote a bit. And some more. Really, other than going to school the only thing I did was write. Which is kind of sad, but, you know.

That stinks.

Was Friday the day you posted this?  Because that day was incredibly boring for me.
