I'm worried. Nothing

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I'm worried. Nothing

I'm worried. Nothing can hold my attention. I can't even focus on books at all. Music, which used to make me really happy, doesn't now. I can't think and no matter how much sleep I get, I'm exhausted.

According to wikipedia and a number of other sites I looked at, lack of interest and attention spans are common symptons of both multiple mental disorders and being a teenager. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. My attention span has murdered itself as well and I've lost interest in a number of activities that I used to enjoy. I'm sure a lot of teenagers go through this. In fact, almost every teen I know is

a) tired no matter how much sleep they get

b) having trouble thinking

c) lost interest in a bunch of things that used to make them happy

d) having trouble holding their attention and ooh look a bird!

I'm sure you have plenty to worry about, but don't worry about this. You're completely fine.

In other news, I just looked up at the tab I had open for the National Institute of Mental Health and it says NIMH. And I think of Mrs. Frisby. I'm a little disappointed with myself that I didn't know what NIMH stood for before this.

I saw that movie a long time ago, but I think in the move NIMH stands for something else.

1) I just checked the NIMH website and those are symptoms of depression so I shouldn't worry too much because I already knew I had depression.
2) According to the Wikipedia page for Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, NIMH actually does stand for National Institute of Mental Health.

Thanks for looking that up, Maggie!
