Rant Restaurant!

Rant Restaurant!

Hello! Care to come in? Would you like a table?

Yes? A little, medium, or large Rantstaurant table?

Ok, maybe I'd better explain what we do here. All we are is a place to go when something's on your mind that really BUGS you.

The only requirement is that you say what size Rantstaurant table you want, the table referring to the length rant. And, to make it easier for the admins, PLEASE rant on subjects they allow in order to save them lots of editing.

Thank You, and Welcome to The Rantstaurant.

~Violet~

P.S. I'll be adding menus soon! Plus I'll give you a receipt after you rant. Don't worry ;) it's free.

P.P.S SpamBox says 'ttya' thank ya!

@maggie:

Maybe try putting a sock basket outside your room, or in a shared bathroom so she doesn't wake you up as often.

I'm failing writing in school. I just can't seem to write the way they teach us to! I'm a novel writer! I don't write essays on how to make a peanut butter sandwich! Actually, I'm technicaly not failing beacause I got 8/8, 4/4, and 12/12 on long comp, but I'm so aggravated!

Is it ok that I rant about this?

Ok, so what really annoys me in school lately is people "dating". All they do is text each other or hang out, put their arm around each other. It's disturbing for 7th graders. I honestly think you shouldn't date until around 10th grade. Thankfully, only about 4 people are dating because everyone else isn't interesting. But my friend, Julia, who I don't talk to so much anymore because she's gotten really girly with the popular girls, is 'dating' Roberto. In my opinion, his face is shaped like a bird's beak. And the kid who's locker is above me is dating... It's just so annoying gah!!

Also, I really wish most of the 7th graders weren't so stupid. When I say that, I really mean it. The people in my Spanish class run around the class, throw things, get up out of their seats, talk way to much... and then the whole class gets in trouble while I'm just doing my work.

AND there's a boy Kevin that keeps annoying me saying "Hey, Kyra G!!! Hiii. Ooo what are you reeeading?" or "Why are you reading about birds? That's so boring! Are you going to be a birdithologist?" It's an ornithologist, and they're not boring... *sighs*

^My science class is learning about Charles Darwin, which is awesome, and we're learning a bit of ornithology, but everyone was like "This is so stupid! This makes no sense!" When the answers were right there in the text. It was obvious. A bird that runs on the ground is a Ground runner. I later told my friend, but it seems I'm the only one out of my friends interested in ornithology...

@ Moss: YES. I knew so many kids when I was in school who "dated". It's really disgusting. I knew kids in kindergarten who were dating. Some even cried when their "boyfriend" broke up with them. I got really dirty looks when I scoffed at them. Most of the girls in school were like that. Now you know why I was never "poplular". I wasn't stupid. It is really annoying though, and totally unnecessary. I mean, if you can't get married in any near future, why bother dating at all?

I know it's hard, but ignore him, Moss. Boys for the most part (though no offence to the boys on here) are vastly annoying and immature. I've met my fair share of boys like that, and all you can do is ignore them. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will get them off your case. Any acknowledgment whatsoever just somehow spurs them on.

Wasn't Darwin the one who had so much to do with the theory of evolution? I've read some about him. And ornithology is cool! I learned a brief little bit about it in my science once, and I found it really interesting! I did really well in that section of science, which is rare. I'm never good at science! Don't worry about other people. Be happy in what you like, and don't ever let anyone change that!

Thanks so much! In 5th grade, people were sort of dating but that was only because of this popular girl Stella. Then she moved and it didn't start up again until this year. But thankfully most people don't want to do this 'dating'.

Yeah, most of the boys in my grade (and school) aren't too smart. Not saying that boys aren't smart, but most are pretty immature. Especially this year, when this other kid Jacob keeps annoying my brother and me, mostly my brother, saying that he's weak and I'm a 'tough one'. Seriously? Why do they waste their time on this?!

*end of rant*

I love learning about Darwin!! Especially the evolution in birds. (I'm planning to be an author, artist and ornithologist :D ) Birds always get me excited for some reason, mostly the birds of prey. One time, I was at this event called the Eagle Fest and my family and I kept seeing bald eagles over the Hudson River. It's just amazing and I love going to it!!

My sister is bugging me about things I say because I'm not supposed to say certain things apparently and so I said to her "The world is not a wish-granting factory." Then she yelled at me abd kept pestering me and so I cussed at her. She told on me and I kind if got in trouble, but what I really wanted to do was punch her in the face so I was doing a pretty good job of controlling myself.

I LOVE Ornithology too! I went to a bird exibit at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science once and I fell in love with bird watching. Now I do it all the time and I'm even in a bird watching club. Birders unite!

Oh my God!! :D I didn't think there were other bird watchers on here!! I usually do my bird-watching in the spring and summer since it's mating season with lots of other birds. My science teacher said that the Science Olympiad, a club at school, had to do with nature and birds so I think I'm going to join next year. What are your favorite birds to bird-watch? I love birds of prey when I get the chance, and if not, usually songbirds like black-capped chickadees and tufted titmice.

rant topic: concerts

There's a Bastille concert right here IN CHARLOTTE on May 20th. That made me happy when I found out...until I realized that May 20th is during EOG week. I mean, it's right here in Charlotte, so it wouldn't be a three hour drive, unlike that Taylor Swift concert I went to when I was 9 that was in Columbia, SC, but CONCERTS ARE LONG AND EXHAUSTING AND I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO GO TO SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY because I'd probably sleep in until noon. But still I really want to go to this concert but it's during finals week. But I don't have anyone to go with me. I want to go to this concert. I hope they come to Charlotte in 2015 but not during EOG week because I'd like to go to one of their concerts. Maybe...no. My mom would NEVER let me miss school just so I could go to a concert. ESPECIALLY not during EOG week.

Too bad, Maggie. Maybe it will work out for you another year. You have that to look forward to.
