Chatterbox: Down to Earth

.........................

.............................................

(I don't know why I did the dots, but oh well... :):):):))  This is really random, but yesterday, I was in the car riding home from my writing class, and we saw a bunch of fire trucks and police cars.  Then, I saw a house with a huge cloud of smoke that was pitch black covering one side.  It freaked me out, because it was in my friend's neighborhood.  We finally got home, and I turned on the news.  No one was home at the time, except for two doggies, but they came out alive. :) Then, I saw that there was another fire the same day, only this one was in Standish (I think...).  Zoe!!!  Then, I went down the stairs to my to my computer, to e-mail my friend (her phone wasn't working).  Fortunatly, she said it was her neighbor's house, but it really scared her....  I noticed I had an e-mail from a friend that was one of those annoying chain-letter forward, forward, forward, if you don't send this to at least 27 people by 12:00, you'll have bad luck for 18 years, things. (:P) It was about this little baby who was severly burned in a fire.  Then, watched a TV show, that just so happened to have, *suprise!*, fire scene!  Today, in grammar, one of the sentences was about, *another surprise!*, fire!!  What is up with all the fire I've been hearing about?!!?!?!  AHH!!!!!!!

Sorry, that was really random...  I just wanted to tell somebuggy...

Oh, speaking of fire and weird accidents, on our trip to NYC last year, a crane fell on the building next to our hotel!!  Like, RIGHT next to our hotel!!  A person died I think, and several were injured.  The whole street was barricaded off, and there were police cars and ambulances and fire trucks everywhere!!  SCARY!! :(:(:(:(

Okay, well we had to take a detour one day on the way to summer camp and we passed by these buildings under construction. The next day on the way back from camp we got stuck in really bad traffic but we got past it all right. Later we heard that the roads had been closed down minutes after we got through, and we were relieved that we had missed the road closures. Then later we heard that there had been a really big fire at those buildings we saw the day before, and if we had waited just ten or fifteen moments earlier, the roads would have closed down, and we would've been stuck there while a fire raged not so far away. It was so scary to think that we could've been in danger if we had been delayed just the slightest bit. But the good news is that we didn't, and no one at all died in that fire. So yeah that is my creepy story.

Wow, that is creepy, you're so lucky!!  I'm so glad you were all right!!!

I have a creepy story, I just can't remember it.

Unless you want to hear about when I think I saw a ghoast.   And I'm not just saying that to get attention, I sometimes see spirits and things.

Oh, and my dad has a story that's really spooky that happened to him when he was a kid!!!!

Oh, and don't worry about them being too scary, cause I can't stand certain levels of scary (coughharrypotermoviescough), and wouldn't put anything untrue or really freaky!!  :)

Ooh!!  Do you want to hear a funny thing that happened the other day??

My mom always yawns at the slightest thing, as long as it's sleepy or yawning too.  So, if you yawn, of course she yawns too, lot's of people do.  Well, if you show her a picture of someone doing that, she will too.  I remember once we were at a hotel and we were watching the discovery chanel and there was a video of a lepard yawning, well, yah, she did too.  But ANYWAY!!!  The day before yesterday, I was int the middle of writing my story, when I typed yawn.  Guess what mom did.  SHE YAWNED!!!!!!!!  AND SHE WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TABLE, AND COULDN'T SEE MY SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Then a few minutes later, I typed exxahousted.  She. Yawned. AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Well, when I told my singing teacher later, she said I should have written "mom can't stop giving Laura money"!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that great?? Why didn't I think of that?????

So yah.  I'm gonna stop typing now.  :)

Ok, well. Here goes.

Oh, first let me explain a few things.

We have been remodeling our house for almost eleven years, and this was while we had only just started, so I was probably about five or six.  Our house is completely different now, so no chance of more ghoasties!!  :)  Although... we have an attic that my dad built for us as a playroom (yes, I still play with my toys) and sometimes the ceiling creaks like somebuggy is up there, though, I think it's just the house shifting, we never got around to redoing the foundation in the front (where the attic is) so the fault could all belong to the foundation.

Anyway, my story:

Ok, so we had a sun-room, and that was our family room/my parents bedroom, and the kitchen was just off it.  Well, one evening, when both of my parents were out in the shop (that's what we call our garage, because my dad uses it as his work shop for building stuff) and me and my brother were doing our homework in the sun-room, and I got hungry, naturally.  So, I started to walk into the kitchen to get a snack, when I saw this full sized  person standing there.  They were made of a quilt.  You know, like the shape of a person, but instead of skin and facial features, they was a patchwork quilt.  It wasn't threatening, or even frightening, but I was startled, so I screamed (of course).  Well, when I screamed, it scared the poor thing, and it ran around the corner, to where you would stand to open the fridge.  Being young, and not really understanding that you don't follow things that appear out of nowhere, I walked into the kitchen, but nothing was there.  Mom and Dad, at this time, were running up the stairs to the house as fast as they could, cause they heard me scream, and I told them what happened, and we all tried to figure out what it was.

I don't think I'm crazy.  That's really the only one that I remember seeing clearly.  And I know it wasn't a dream, because my parents both remember it too.

When I was a baby, I apparently saw an angel, though I have no memory of it.

What do you think happened???  Cause I'm still trying to figurer it out.
