Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Doesn't anyone

Doesn't anyone care??

Our planet is falling to pieces, and we're (not really us personally) just sitting around wondering when the newest video game is going to come out!!Yell I mean, this global warming, deforestation, and stuff like that IT'S GETTING OUT OF CONTROL!! CONTROL IT WHILE WE STILL CAN!!!

Oops. I can get out of control, too. Embarassed

*is very upset that another heated debate thread has been initiated* *gets over it a bit*

"Global warming" is not factual, although climate change is another matter... now I know I'm just going to be yelled at for not backing up my statements, but I will probably start shouting myself if I try to explain, so unless other people start backing up their statements... *begins rambling*

Point being, I do not believe in "global warming." I do not believe in it because, well, it's not real.

How did this get up here anyway? I mean, it started on February 28, and now it's June 25. Maybe it's time to, er, let this subject rest.

I agree with Hannah. I'm not sure whether I believe in global warming or not (seriously, I just don't know), but whethter it is or not, this planet is dying. And we're the ones killing it. We really need to try and save Mother Earth while we still can. People I know have made fun of me for feeling this way, but as far as I know, no one has ever thought of a good reason for not protecting the planet.

While I do not beleive in "Global Warming" or any other form of man-induced climate change, I agree that pollution is a serious problem.

STOP! Why do we argue over this?? We are kids, and I know if I start arguing, my parents will come running in, becuz I am screaming at the computer!!!!!!!!

We are just kids. Let's talk about this LATER when we are OLDER when we actually know the FACTS. (I'm sure some of u do know the facts, but I don't really.) :D :S

*hyperventilates*  R~D~, I don't mean to be rude, but I get really ticked off when people say "We're just kids," therefore meaning we can't do anything as well as adults, or that adults do.  Us "kids" can do the appropriate and accurate research required to make a good argument.  If you don't want to debate, you really don't have too, but some people might, and I see nothing wrong with that as long as they are respectful.

I agree, but I never was involved with any of the hot topics on the Chatterbox, and never will be, so I'm just going to stay out of this.

R~D~, must you really speak like that? As children, we're the next generation of adults. It's up to us to find the problems so that we can fix them when we're older. Stop putting kids down.

Mary W. and Trixy, I totally agree, but R.D. also has a point. And don't you think - I mean, no offense to ourselves - but that our parents' opinions might affect what WE think a little? Yes, we are important. Definitely. I just think we should realize that.

Geez, sorry to be offensive. Thank you Lena. Of course I wasn't putting kids down!!! Us kids are what's going to change the future, hopefully for the better. I wasn't saying this for everyone, but I was basically saying for myself, that I don't know the facts as well as some of you do so I'm not going to argue. I must have written it really badly, becuz my sister was begging to get on, so I didn't reread it.

Anyway, we can make a difference right now! I wasn't putting kids down. We just don't really need to argue over this!!! Geez!!!!!!!!

No offense to ourselves? Lol, none taken, I guess. And yes, our parents do affect our opinions greatly, so let's hope that they're right. ;)
