School Situation

School Situation

I've noticed that many people are reponding with similar questions to the Thread about school and homeschooling, so I will answer questions and try to explain here:

1) I cannot homeschool. Even though I desperately want to, there are about three main reasons why I cannot.

1a. I cannot be home all day. I would drive my Mum crazy.

1b. My parents are worried about social interactions. Hah

1c. I just can't.

I understand why, so I'm sort of done with it.

2) School s terrible because I am gifted.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you all for showing me so much support!

So am I! I'm not gifted though... Unless you count gifted as being able to tell WHENEVER a note is slightly sharp or flat.........

That could be a sign, but maybe not.

Lucky. I wouldn't know a flat note if it bit me like Snuggles bites Squeak.

All school is is sitting in a stuffy room listening to them tell you things that you've known for 5 years. Well to me.

No comment as of the fact I do not want a fight.

Erp... Well... I have always been a bit gifted. I'm not home schooled, though it sometimes seems like it. I learn everything from my dad, and he gives me mathsheets and other stuff. Really, school is more of a review for me.

Yeah, it's a bit tough when you are gifted. Oh man, now I really feel like a brat. Anyway, I'm in the highest math class, and after school I get college tutorials and stuff. Programming also comes natural to me, as well as fast-reflex games. Geometry dash is a good example, or temple run... So. Yeah.

Gee, sometimes I just want to be average. I already skipped one grade, and my teachers are thinking of making me skip another. I miss my friends, as I don't get to see them in my classes. And if I get even an A in my grade, my parents freak out. Harsh.

Another thing that makes me 'gifted' is that I can tell who someone is by looking at them. It's not like a superpower or anything, it's just that I recognize when someone lies or how a person acts. You know that phrase "Don't juge a book by it's cover"? Well... I do that a lot. And I'm usually right. My memory of stuff is also quite good as well.

...So yeah. Harsh life for the gifted.

Yah. Definiitely. I have a really high IQ. Not like a really smart type, but pretty uncommon.

@Indigo:

What do you mean by you don't want to start a fight?

Indigo is VERY against homeschooling. In the debate club, he was on the public school side.
