Chatterbox: Down to Earth

2015 is almost

2015 is almost here. I cannot believe it. I really can't. I will never head my essays with a /14 at the end of the date again. That makes me feel sad. Very sad. It is like when you close the last book of a series and just feel like crying because it is over and you will never, ever  feel the characters in the same way again. You will never feel their woes or pleasures in that way again. If read The Giving Tree (by Shel Silverstein) right now I would cry. Then I would feel like the worst idiot ever for a while. (I recently finished a series. Now I get mad at dumb things because I am still recovering from it.)

Now that is out, what are your feelings about the upcoming year? Can you tackle it and score a touchdown? Or do you feel like it will punch you in the stomach? (Christmas did that to me, dang it.) How do you feel about it?

Like you, I can't believe 2015 is here. It's just so weird how time flies. I get what you're saying about being sad, but it's kind of exciting. Every year brings new surprises and discoveries. It's like 365 days of hope and opportunity open up.

I know how you feel with the book thing. I normally don't get upset, but I'm just plain mad over the end of the Divergent series.

I'll miss this year, It was great, and OMG, today is THE LAST DAY!!!Yeah, when I was ten, I finished the Molly Moon series and nearly exploded over the last book, where she totally loses her powers. I mean, I felt like writing a hotheaded letter to the author about it.

I am excited for the new year for three reasons:

1) I get to open my 2013 time capsule.

2) I had trouble deciding my resolution, but now I decided to be a better big sister.

3) I am just naturally excited.

I am naturally nostalgic for everything, so I too am sad that there will never be another 2014.

I always love the start of the new year. Somehow, December always seems to be kind of a drag because I'm just waiting for the new year to come. Still figuring out my resolutions.

@ Magic Dragon:

Are you still a regular poster on the CB? Because if you are, I've got a few interview questions for you that you haven't answered yet. :)

Last night I finally got to stay up till midnight. We went to see these fireworks, and by the time we were ready for bed it was like 11:20. By the you kinda have to stay up. But it was kinda lame.
