Should school be banned?

What is fun? And speaking as a biased homeschooler who's never been to school, I'm not sure you want my opinion.

Well, I think school should just go up to 8th grade, that should be the HAVE TO part, and for high school and college should be a choice! Because grade school is where you learn most of what you need to learn! (and that counts middle school)

Definitely not! Sure, kids may complain about HW and certain teachers and stuff, but that's just life. School is where you learn organization, social, time-management, and working skills, along with all the academic stuff. If there was no school (for example, just homeschooling) not every kid would get a decent education because not every parent is motivated or qualified enough to teach. No offense to homeschoolers, homeschooling's not bad! I'm just saying it wouldn't work for every kid. I firmly believe that school shouldn't be banned.

I agree with Allison. Everyone's different -- what works for one kid (homeschooling) may not work for the other.

Exactly.  Me, I'm a homeschooler who can't even imagine doing ANYTHING else!!  Clay, phew....  He completely hated being homeschooled.  Our family actually got in fights and everything, just because he didn't like being homeschooled.  Now he goes to public school, and is nice again. :):):)

OK, kids who actually go to a public, or private, school...think about this...where did you meet most of your friends? School! I don't think it should be banned.

My opinion: School should not be banned, but remade. The curriculums should be put together differently, the whole teacher thing redone, and the school's--uh--decor made better. It would be great for both the students and the staff!
If you want me to elaborate just say so. ;D

I think in seventh grade and up, math should be optional. And while I'm wishing, I'd like a telescope that can show me anywhere in the world.

School MIGHT give you friends, but then again, it might not. It really annoys me when people say homeschoolers never get chances to socialize!!! No offense or anything, especially since YOU didn't say that.

All my REAL friends are from Irish dance. It seems like most of the kids at my school are acting like they like me. I'm not so happy with them right now. Mostly thinking of one person who I do NOT want to think about at the minute. But then again I do have some friends, some people are VERY nice, but others just are... too popular.
