Glasses!

A few days ago, I got glasses! So on Monday I got my eyes examined. I got to pick out to really cute pairs. One is more colorful and designed (I'm wearing them right now!). It bronzey-pink with swirly designs and blue on the sides. The other is a solid brownish-red with thicker frames. So now I can see things farther away much clearer. Who else on here wears glasses or contacts?

Glasses!

Since I was two, I've worn glasses.

Wow cool. Yeah for a while I didn't want them because I thought I would look bad. But then I tried a pair on and was like, "Hey I actually look good!"

I wear glasses! I got my first pair 3 years ago, but last year they broke and I had to get a new pair. When I first got my glasses, I had 2 thoughts. 1. Wow! Everything is so clear! 2. I look like my cousin (which is good).

Your glasses sound cool! Mine are oval shaped, and on the rim of the ovals, it has a sort of brown purple color.

Wow, Butterfly, those two thoughts are exactly like Ellie!! Half the time I mistake her for our cousin, Rachel!!!! (In a good way). I really want glasses. I look really good in them, but have amazing vision. Undecided.  I actually bought fake glasses, and wear them sometimes, but real glasses would be a lot better.

I've worn glasses since I was nine! (Or maybe 10. IDK.) So, welcome to the glasses wearers cluby thingy!

I've worn glasses since I was...12? Honestly, I think I look terrible wearing them, so I prefer my contacts, which I got this summer. But I just broke (by accident) my only pair of glasses, so I'm going around feeling like those old-school girls who walked with books on their heads in private life to train themselves to walk straight and still--so that the pin keeping the front and side together doesn't fall out and make me look like a dork.

I wear glasses. At first, I was really resistant to getting glasses. I was afraid that they'd look horrible on me, that people would make fun of me, and that they wouldn't help me see. On the day I went to get glasses, they had this whole wall full of different styles. It was fun to try them all on! Some looked great, others silly and still others horrible. I finally settled on the pair I have now: a bronzy brown pair with clear glass leaves on the side. Surprisingly, this pair has lasted me maybe five years now. Sure, I've had to switch out the lenses, but they are still in good condition. It turns out that glasses weren't as bad as I first thought, and they really helped make things sharper and clearer. I didn't realize what I was missing out on seeing!

I wear reading glasses, but I often forget to put them on. Like right now.

I wear glasses! They're mostly transparent. I really like them! I honestly think I look better with them, and now I can (adoy) see a lot better! :D

(I come from a family with bad eyesight). Soon I'm going to have an appointment with my eye doctor (the professional name slips my mind) and I'll get a new prescription!!!! I really need one, I've waited for forever.

My parents are telling me to try contacts, too, because I play baseball and they say it'll be better once the season starts.

Yeah, I've worn glasses since I was about 8 years old.

I broke the first pair (don't worry, it's pretty much inevitable) and got a much nicer second pair that I am wearing right now!

If I don't wear them, the world gets all blurrrryyy....

Also, I'm near-sighted, so (like you) I needed glasses that helped improve my distant vision. I don't actually know how I'm near sighted, as both of my parents are far-sighted.

Maybe from my Grandpa, we share a lot of common traits Tongue out

I think contacts would be weird. Just my opinion.

Congrats on getting glasses!

I've worn glasses since I was in third grade or so. It wasn't a surprise, because my family is cursed with bad eyesight.

But there's one thing weird about my glasses.

One lens is just plastic. I swear I'm telling the truth- I have one eye that's got perfect vision, and one that's just awful. I could wear a monocle (which I would hate) but the result would be the same.

My mom says I can get contacts next summer or something, but she never really sounds sure and I'm not sure either but who knows?

I have glasses, and braces. It's so nice now, since I can actually see.

Before I had glasses, I wanted them so bad... I don't really know why. I'm not embarrassed with them. I think it's because it makes me... Unique.
