50 MAUI DOPLHINS

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

50 MAUI DOPLHINS

50 MAUI DOPLHINS LEFT!

HEY EVERYONE YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS! SO LISTEN UP PLEASE!

THIS WILL PROBABLY BE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU'LL EVER DO ON THE CRICKET BLOG.

Please believe me. I AM NOT LYING!! You can look it up.

Maui dolphins are the world's rarest species of dolphins. They are really cute and they only live in New Zealand. I found out about them two years ago from a Time for Kids magazine. Then, there were only 99 left on earth. 99!

This year I remembered them and looked them up. THERE ARE NOW ONLY 55 LEFT.

I was extremely concerened and shocked and horrified.  I looked up "save maui dolphins" and found a website with 45,000 supporters called change.org. Apparently they have created a petiton to the New Zealand government to protect the Maui dolphins.

But apparently the petiton is closed. And Maui dolphins are still in need of help!!!!!!!

I wanted to do something, but I didn't know what. I am going to speak to my school principal about organizing something. Maybe I can have my own petition for the school, and everyone ccan send letters.

This will help at my school, but that's only one school.

I have a mission for EVERYONE: TRY TO ORGANIZE SOMETHING AT YOUR SCHOOL. TELL YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR FAMILY, AND EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THE MAUI DOLPHINS.

WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS. WE NEED TO BE WORRIED ABOUT THIS. WE NEED TO DO. SOMETHING. ABOUT THIS!

WE NEED TO discuss it. Please, everyone, I'm begging you, contribute to this blog. We need to discuss how we can do something.

WE CAN NOT LET THESE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES GO EXTINCT!

Admins, I know you cannot contribute to the blog like we can, but please do something in your real life. Send a letter or something.

The Minister of Conservation in New Zealand is Ho. Maggie Barry.
