So, well, uh...
People think that white people can't be subjects of racism. Well... a few months ago my "friend" starting bugging me and telling me I couldn't be smart or anything because I'm not Asian.
I'm compltely open (or as open as I can be, without having people run away screaming
) to all races, and it's ust annoying.
Do you think I'm being oversensitive, and do you think that I am just being stupid?

Me. We have actually had some hard time, and I admit it.
I was always dropping hints. I really like Brookeira in Ski Lodges, and I admire Masked Piester but... In RPs..
I won't say anymore. Because I don't want to offend Brookeira (I really like you) and I'm afraid people won't exactly like me...
I'm terribly, absolutely, sorry. And if it isn't me... Well, then, you have another person on your hate list.

Yeah, me too, but... oh well, it's not like it's that big of a deal. C'est la vie. She doesn't even post that much.
... It's not me, is it? I could totally understand how I would be awkward and dislikable (is that a word?), so don't feel bad if it is.

Now, you need to show her this website, and all our thoughts. Cause listen: We can protect you, and back that person down.
And Asian decent? This girl is just wanting to feel better. Give her back the stats. I mean, I'm pretty sure Einstein wasn't Asian! And he is one of the best scientists ever! That girl only wants to feel good. Betchya her grades aren't the best, either.
You are amazing, SE. That girl isn't. You are a smart and amazing person, and I'm glad that I met you. Please don't feel down, though I know the insults won't stop anytime soon. Be the best you can be, and keep you chin high.

There is no way that you are being oversensitive or stupid. Now who is stupid is your friend.
To start off with, from what I know, you are quite a smart person. If your friend says you aren't or can't be smart, she is wrong, because (a) You already are and (b) Anyone can become smart, if by what your friend means as smart is being good in school.
Secondly, there are loads of people who aren't Asian and still quite clever. Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison are just two. They're geniuses. So next time your friend says only Asians can be smart, mention a few names of people who aren't Asian and recognized as major contributors to the world.
That girl is mean and a bully and will never get on in life if she continues that way. But S.E, I know you will, because you are smart, funny, and an amazing person. So next time she tells you that you can't be smart, remember you are, and a thousand things more that she isn't.

Dear S.E,
You are totally not being oversensitive or stupid. Your "friend" needs to know you are getting hurt by this. And if you have already told her this then start talking to your parents. Also understand she may just want attention. Maybe going through a hard time. Understand but don't let her get away with it.

It's not necessarily "racism" rather just sterotypes . People say white people can't dance , white people can't sing , white people don't tan , and so on . It's like saying all blondes are dumb , or all Asians are geniuses . Which is completely false . Just tell your friend you don't appreciate being labeled in a stereotypical way .

I'd call it a "racial stereotype". And S.E, maybe that gal is trying to just make a point, but she's not making a good one! You are smart, don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise! And maybe try walking away. She'll get a real shock, and perhaps stopped.

I used to think that White people could not be subjects of racism, because they were the ones who where racist, to other races like me. I found that out to be wrong, of course.
The reason they might be saying this is because Asia is in fact better at tests than other countries. They don't have common core and their parents push them to study hard and be the top of their class. I'm not saying all Asians are smart (or good at math, I'm not), but test wise they are (the average). Most schools go from 7:00 to 12:00, Lunch Break, 2:00 to 5:00, Dinner, 7:00 to 8:30, then they go home. Some kids have study time after that, at the schools (private schools), then they have school on Saturday. Most schools in Asia are similar to this schedule.
I think you should talk to your friend about this. Remember that you are not oversensitive and that is racism too.
