SPRING!!!!!!!! ):D:):D:):D

Yay for Spring!!!  How much snow do you still have left where you live?  Do you see any other signs of spring?  Crocuses?  Robins?

No snow, many robins, no crocuses.

A sprinkling of beautiful weather here, then a drop back down to the old cold temperatures... You live in a beautiful place, BellaTrix!

I like that poem Cricket published a while ago about the winter in South Florida that isn't really winter. Do any of you remember that? Sorry, I don't remember what issue it was in.

Snow, snow, snow....  Actually, it's melting fairly quickly! :D I even saw the beginning of some flowers, popping up out of a tiny patch of dirt (well, more of dirty mud, but yeah....)!! :D:D:D

Oh, and, we've had robins since December or so...  They aren't the smartest birds in the world... :):)

We don't have snow very often, though it snowed more than usual this year! But it's all gone now, and we were having an amazing warm spell this whole week. It felt sunny and warm and the air smelled like newly mown grass and it was light and balmy until 7 at night... So I was really surprised when, on the first day of my lovely weekend, it was RAINING when I woke up. Garg. On the other hand, the dafodills are blooming! They're so gorgeous! So maybe *knock on wood* it won't be raining all spring break!

Oh, and I'm on the same time as Paige!

Hmff.  Uz Canadziuns still have about a foot of snow here.  But . . . it's going all the way up to plus 3 today, and in a bit it's even going up to TEN DEGREES!  The lake's still frozen solid and there are still people skiing on the mountain, though it's starting to get slushy.  A few migratory birds are back, but robins, at least here, signal the start of spring, and we don't have any yet.  Crocuses, or any flowers for that matter, only come in April or May here.  But I'm hopeful, because the sky is blue and the snow's starting to melt!!! :D:):D:):D

Hanna, you're lucky!

In TN the weather is crazy and unpredictable! Last week's weather was:

Monday-Tuesday: in the mid-80's

Wednesday: in the mid-40's

Thurs.--Sunday (today) in the low 30's-mid-20's area.

So my backyard is sprouting patches of neon green weeds from Monday and Tuesday, and now is dying again! Same for the cherry blossom trees, they were starting to bloom, but now they're dying again, too. More birds are coming in tho'.

MID 80S???!!!!???!!! Wow! That's warm! Lucky you!!!! In St. Paul the weather right now is 50, so it's ok... the snow is pretty much gone! There's still little bits of it here and there, and it's all wet everywhere. We've had warm weather, then cold weather for the past few weeks. I sure hope it'll stay warm now! :D:D:D I'm tired of the cold, and if the water freezes again, it'll be VERY slippery! :D:D:D

Yeah, Jenni, it's the same here. I live about 40 minutes from the Tennessee border and a couple hours from Nashville, so we have about the same weather. Wouldn't that be cool if we met each other??????!!!!

@ Mary Jo:

Yeah! That would be really cool if we ran into each other! I started getting out my Spring outfits, then had to find my big down coat again. Waah!

@Paige:

BellaTrix gave me permission to call her Hanna, you can ask her! SO THERE!

It has been hot and cold hot and cold hot and cold hot and cold.  The coldest it has been is 20.  The highest it has been is high seventy's, hot.  Today it's about (I am guessing) sixty.  Some little crocuses have come up, I saw the first one about a week and a half ago.  We only got snow a few times and it was only like five inches high.   I wish we got more snow.

Spring? What is this thing of which you speak? We still have three feet of snow. Spring = June. *nodnod*

JUNE????? By June here, it's practically 100 degrees, literally!!!!!! How can it be spring in JUNE???????????? That's so weird. Yah, it's spring here. I don't know what crocuses look like, but the daffodils are pretty much done for, and we're starting to get tulips. The plum tree is just about done blooming, and the tiny green buds are actually starting to look like leaves!! YAY!! I alway say that my favorite season is what ever season I'm in, except winter and summer (I know, that's half, but who cares?). In Winter, I think that anything but it is my favorite, and the same with summer. I detest heat. :D :D :D :D Especially because it gets so hot here!! And for SOOOOO LOOOOOOONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From as early as April (some years), to as late as early November!!!!!!!!! UUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love rain!!! Of course, I never appreciate it nearly enough when I have it, but oh well, that's how life is. :)

Hey, what would you say if I told you I met the guy who wrote the music for sweeny????
