Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I’m back!

Hi, guys! I’m so glad to see you again! Gosh, it’s been so
long since I’ve been on here. How is everyone? Anything new or interesting?

I’ve been super busy since I’ve left. I’ve just finished
ninth grade, and we’re looking into college classes for next school year. My
little sister is going into first grade next year, and I volunteered to do most
of her schoolwork with her. So I’m busy preparing for that.

We’ve also moved from Oregon in April. My parents want me to
be really careful online, so I’m not allowed to tell where. Let’s just say that
I’m really happy here!

I’m still busy with my writing, too. Even though I don’t
have an account on NaNoWriMo, I wanted to see if I could write a novel in a
month. I ALMOST did! It took me 31 days!!! I was so happy! It’s called Walking
the Road of Faith, and I want to send it to a publisher. Also, I sent in an
application for Creative Kid’s editorial board.

Oh, yeah! I have a new sibling! I’m so excited! It’s my
fifth sibling. Sorry, can’t tell you her name.

I’ve been spending a ton of time outdoors now. We got a
bunch of animals: pigeons, chickens, and rabbits. The pigeons look so beautiful
when you let them fly all at once. And the chickens? Oh my God, they are such
troublemakers. They’re the black kind, and extremely friendly. We raised them
from chicks. They let us hold them, and they LOVE it when you rock them on the
swing. We have a male and female rabbit. They’re still small, so they’re not
together yet.

Sometime in the fall I’ll be working in a lab at a community
college. I’m doing a project for an upcoming state science fair. A student at
the college is helping me out.

Well, that’s all I can think of now. I missed you guys so
much! And to all the CBers who don’t know me, I’m Bookbug, a fanatic of books,
writing, and anything caramel! Welcome to the CB!

@Bookbug: The crutches things was fine. just really really annoying. And my summer is ruined because... lets say a friend got in trouble and it affected me hugely. So I won't get to see her until school starts, but we don't even go to the same school. And I can't even text or call her or anything!

@Bookbug;  Yeah but the good thing is I can text her step sister who can talk to my friend then tell me what she said.

Bookbug! You have returned! You do not know how excited I am. I have not been on here much anymore, but I can tell you what the others have surely mentioned. People have come and gone. Well, more people have come than have gone.

I have chickens as well. Isn't it nice how they all have a different personality? Mine like to be held, too.

What books have you been reading lately?

Welcome back! We have missed you!

@Savvy: That's great!

@Magic Dragon: I know, chickens are awesome! We have four, and we named each one of them. And you're totally right about them having personalities. Lots of people think chickens aren't really lovable and they can't love you, but I know my chickens love me. If I go outside, they'll run towards me and try to sit on my lap.

I've been reading a lot of books lately for a summer reading program for homeschoolers. I'm mostly reading classics: Island of Dr. Moreau, Alas, Babylon, Sherlock Holmes, that kind of stuff. What've you been reading? It's so nice to see you again!

@Bookbug I completely agree. My chickens seem to love me too. I have been reading an assortment of things. I am currently reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel. I have also read some books by John Steinbeck, my favorite being Of Mice and Men. I do not have a program like yours, but I am doing the summer reading program through the library again this year.
