Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Nooo! D; My

Nooo! D; My mom is making me get a haircut! My hair is short now, but when I straighten it, it looks cute. She's making me get it cut SHORT. Like Rihanna's hair. [Not the Bob, but the one with the long wispy bangs hanging down in her eyes]

T_T I'm upset. It's happening tomorrow. I feel self-concious with short hair. ;-; Like, I think I look like a boy.

Any tips about how to look fabulous with short hair, when you can't wear makeup? ;-;

 Don't waste your time on tips about how to 'talk to my mom and get her to re-think it,' I'd just get in trouble.

Um, not really, sorry... But short hair isn't that bad, really. I hope it goes well. Good luck!

Why doesn't she let you make your own choices??? Poor you! Not Fair.

Sorry, I've never had my hair shorter than a bob.

Oh, but when I have a problem, and no matter what, I can't figure out what to do, I type my question into Google, and see what pops up. A lot of what's there is useless, but if you scroll down, and read the descriptions, you can usually find some pretty good advice. I generally look for things that say "yahoo answers" because more often than not, somebuggy had a very similar question, and the people who answer them really know what they are talking about.

I hope this was helpful!!!!

Laura, I looked in google, wikihow, and yahoo answers. D; Most of the comments made me feel worse. Like tons of people where like 'DON'T GO WITH SHORT HAIR!! GUYS LIKE LONG HAIR!!' and stuff like that. D; I think I'm doomed. ;-;

ACK!!  POOR YOU!!!!!!!  I HAVE EMPATHY!!!!!!!

One time I went to get my hair cut.  It was probably around shoulder length, and I told the lady I wanted an inch off.  Just one inch.  AND SHE CUT OFF THREE!!!!!!!!  It looked so stupid!!  I was really upset.  So for a long time I had to go to school with a cut that REALLY didn't suit my face.  It was humiliating.  I have much empathy.  :)  *empathetic smile*

I've never had really short hair, but my friend does and it looks really cute! Plus, it will be a lot easier to wash. I wanted to get a hair cut 'cause I have a lot of split ends, but my mom said that we couldn't afford it. But I think that's not fair because my sister is obsessed with getting haircuts (if she sees this thread she'll deny it) but she got 2 last year and 1 a couple of weeks ago! Oh well, my hair isn't really that long. :):):):):):):):):):)

Julia: Hey, I pay for my own haircuts! (Hint, hint.) And I only get it trimmed every six months. :( It annoys me when it feels really heavy and falls too far below my shoulders.

GloWorm: I think short hair is really cool! :)

Maddy: Correction, you pay for half of your haircuts. (Hint, hint.) Mom pays for the other half.

How short are you getting it?  I've gotten mine shaved twice--not bald, but really short, and don't worry, I LOVED it.  It's:

1. SO easy to take care of!!!

2. Stylish. :)

3. Original!

So don't worry!  I'm growing mine out again now (it's shoulder-length), but I much prefer shorter hair!!!  As soon as my hair's long enough, I'm going to get it all cut off again and give it to Locks of Love!!! :)

Oh, and why is your mom making you get it short if you don't want to?

In the fifth grade I tried to get my hair cut in a short stylish bob-ih-mahicky sorta thing. The lady gave me a boy haircut. I'm not kidding! It was so short that everyone in my class thought I was a new boy student! My hair is shoulder length now, but when I had my boy haircut I did this to make it more obvious I was a girl:

*Wear clothes that look like girls. These don't have to be skirts or dresses or anything of that sort. But there are a distinct style to girls tee's and jeans. Try to buy stuff that makes you look more feminine but not girly.

*If it's long enough, take a straightning iron and flip it at the ends. This is a really great look that a lot of my friends and twin are wearing right now.

*If it's really short and you want to be eccentric, I recommend gelling it into spikes, or using hairspray to make it foof up and have some body.

*Hair clips and bobby pins make it look nice.

*If your parents will let you, get some non-permanent dye or hairpaint and add a streak.

Ok, that's what I've got to say on the situation. Just some helpful hints that I used when I was condemned to look like a boy for quite a while.

BellaTrix, how old are you?

--------

Koffee-I'm probably getting my hair permanently highlighted. D; It was so awful tho, I went to my game night tonight, and one of my friends was like 'Why did you get your hair cut -smirk-' but it made it all better when my other friend told me it looked awesome.
