Confessions Thread...

Confessions Thread...

Okay, I had this idea. We're having a lot of threads lately confessing feelings, asking questions, being very "deep" with one another. And then I thought... well, whenever I type on one of those threads, I feel awkward, like I really shouldn't be saying what I'm saying.

So I thought of this.

We all have doubts at the backs of our minds. We all have sorrows, we all have fears. And if there is anything- anything- you want to say, you can say it here.

It can be confidential, but it doesn't have to be. Nothing discussed in this thread should be, you know, loudly proclaimed to the world. There will be no judgments in this thread spoken aloud. Unless you want to add on or comfort the person writing, don't say anything.

There. Use it wisely.

Ok no one has said anything so I'll fess up.

I've started writing three books but they always end up sounding like my favorite book I've read recently, so I stop for a while so I can think of new things....  And them I never start them again.

Choppie says ynxb.  Some new rock?

Hey, it's fine to do that. I know I used to do that a whole lot. I suggest you just keep on writing, and stretch your writing skills, but just keep in mind you probably shouldn't publish it, unless it is sufficiently different from the favorite book.

My confession isn't really a confession, but I'll say it anyways.

I'm turning into a depressing and dark teenager. There. :)

As long as you can laugh about it, you're not too depressed.

Sometimes I feel like I am going in the wrong direction. (You know, with life)

Sammie says hhha. Just because my problems are very weird, Sammie, does not mean you get to laugh about them.

Well, I have a few.

1. I have gotten sick at many places before and was scared I'd do it again. So I started carrying around this small towel when I was... seven? Anyway, I still carry it. I don't want to, but I have also become very connected to it. I don't really know what to do.

2. I like little kid videos. Whenever my little sister watches something like Busytown, Arthur, Calliou, Magic School Bus, Sesame Street, or any other little kid video you can think of, I watch along. I feel like a baby beacuse of this.

3. I have a fear of dying. I don't want to think about it, but I kind of can't stop. All I've been thinking about these days are thoughts like "will I die today?" or "will I never get married or have children?" or "is this my last math lesson?" If you can, please help me overcome this!

Butterfly, you are not the only one who watches little kid videos! I LOVE Arthur, Magic School Bus, and Sesame Street. Expecially Arthur. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I think it's normal to have a fear of dying at some point in your life. The more you think about it, the more it will bother you. Just know that eventually, everyone will die and there's no stopping it. But it doesn't mean you need to be scared. Just try to live the best  life you can.

Oh, Butterfly, you and I have the same problem. Sometimes when I'm lying awake at night, my thoughts somehow drift to death. And then my stomach kind of lurches- this doesn't happen for any of my other fears, it's weird- and suddenly I just get afraid. Very afraid. And my mind starts thinking of all those impossible questions like, "Is Heaven really real?" or "What really happens after you die? Do you become part of everything, or are you reborn?" "Are we the same soul once we're reborn?"

...Okay, I'm going to stop here. My stomach is getting a little lurchy.

Anyway, I've learned to calm myself down, but about two years ago I would think about it all the time and have to go out to my parents for comfort. A little babyish, I know, but it really helped. My dad would pep me up by talking about people like Obi-Wan or Dumbledore, who weren't afraid to die.

You are not alone, Butterfly. At night sometimes I get a horrible feeling in stomach and am afraid to go to sleep. I fear death. Not Voldemort-fear-of-death, but you get the point.

Same, Butterfly. I love old kid shows too! I watch 'em all the time. They connect me to older and happier times. Plus, the plot lines and cartoons were just plain awesome. Old cartoons are way better than today's animation. Kids of today have way less, if any, quality tv, it's tragic. Let's go back to older times.

I. . . face this question constantly too, Butterfly, but in a different way. The important thing is to focus on the positives of life. See, God has timing for all of us. He won't call you home until it's time. It's all in God's hands. So you never need worry about when death comes. Be happy in today. Find things to look forward to each day. Look toward your future and how bright it is. Don't let the idea of death ruin what's happening now. Remind yourself you're living, and you're alive for a purpose. You've got a great future ahead of you.

I'm pretty sure everyone is scared of death. I am, at least. Life seems way too short... Way too short to fit anything in.

You know, as I and I think many/most others get older, we rarely even think about dying, because we're too busy living, helping others, appreciating nature and music, etc., and making the most of the days that we have. Certainly you youngsters should focus on life! Carpe diem!

l'm not. Mostly because death seems so far off, and l'm young. Yet l see it all around me.

l have stayed by the side of a dying animal, watched as his breaths became slower, and how his eyes would glaze over, and l couldn't save him.  l always think they were too young to die. l don't really wonder when that will happen to me. l'll live life as good as l can, l've only got one.
