Thunderstorm

By Sasha Grosberg

Clouds gray and dark filled with rain ready to burst

Trees sway back and forth in a slow melody haunting lost souls

Bright flashes of light in the distance blinding whoever dares to look

A loud clap of thunder shattering glass and breaking silence

Rain pours down roofs and rolling down hills taking all hatred and resentfulness with it

Winds sweep away  all miserable thoughts

The thunderstorm renews feelings and brings hope to drowning hearts

Then all is silent

Relief washes over the world and a sense of comfort is brought back to life

We are safe again

Slowly and gradually everybody begins on their journey again

Each person is still secretly hoping and waiting for another storm to come again

A Thunderstorm
