Stone Soup: Have You Heard of It?

So, this is a magazine that publishes work by kids under 13, and I was wondering if any of you have heard of it. My stoires have been published in it 3 times (if you've heard me mention in my posts, rather braggingly... Sorry! I'm proud of it!).

If anyone DOES read it, I'll tell you the story names... but then you would know my real name from the byline (Abigail is really not my real name. I wish.) and would have to swear not to post it on CB, because the internet is never, ever, private.

Have any of you been in it or read it? I just want to know really badly for some reason. It would be quite cool. *starts singing It's a Small World*  I'll stop now. *begins humming it*

No, really this time.

And now you all have it stuck in your heads. Bwahaha!

Also, it's a good place to get published if you'd like to be. I would post the link to their website, but I have a feeling the Admins would need to check it out first...

Ookz says awyb. Awry bee?

Love,

Abi

And, Admins, does Cricket ever publish work by kids?

We publish kids' work in Cricket League and Letterbox and Blots from the Inkwell. And there may be more opportunities announced in the next few months. Stay tuned. . . .

I get this magazine too! It's really cool that you published 3 stories! I really loved the story about the two girls, Rose and Helen, that could have met but didn't, that could have been friends but weren't because of fate or chance and the fact that their friendship would have damaged their induvidual dreams and success.

If you wrote that story, I think it was called The Interference. I really think it's a great story! Also, if you wrote or drew Life Among The Whisperers, also great job. If you didn't write either of these, they are really great stories in the November/December 2014 issue. It's so cool that someone else reads Cricket and Stone Soup!

No, those weren't mine, but I wish—they were really good. My newest story was in the most recent issue, by the way. Also... I want this thread to rise to the top!

Admins, now you have me all excited! *claps hands together* From how far back might the work be from? Just so I can hope madly... :)

Ookz says diyy! DIY?

I think there's some new project in the works. I don't have details. But there may be info about it coming in the February 2016 Cricket.

I get Stone Soup! But ohmygoodness, are you Ella S.? I love her writing, and I love how she looks, and I've always wished I was her friend, and I think you are she! OHMYGOODNESS!

Ella S.? My name isn't Ella, but my last name IS S, but a lot of people think my name is Ella because it looks a lot like it but there is actually a one letter difference, and that letter looks a lot like the one it replaces. My stories are called (in order) The Locket, Words, and Join the Fun.

So sorry. In Stone Soup the names are so small. Oh, and sorry admins, didn't realize you can't post last names.

I get Stone Soup (I have for a year... two years...?). I would really like to know what your stories were. I have been on the honor roll so far, my letter has been published, and I'm preparing to send in again!

I wish! I've been considered eight times and been rejected each time for lack of space! It's so frustrating. In that time the Honor Roll has been around, I've been in it five times! It's SO frustrating!

Yes, I get Stone Soup! It's one of my favorite magazines.

From the last issue my favorite story was probably Iris in the German Garden (I think that is the name).

What was your favorite from the last Stone Soup, Abigail?

Well, besides mine, I really liked the Iris in the German Garden one too.

Wait, admins, please delete the part where I said Abigail's first name. It will just say: so sorry. The names are so small in Stone Soup. Yes, it is you.

Because I know she doesn't want us to share her name.

Thanks!

Done.
