Computers will never take over the world until they learn to reproduce.

Computers will never take over until they can program themselves.

Simon, have you seen The Terminator? In that movie computers take over the world by hacking into the goverment computer system. It's actually quite a cool movie, once you get over the cheeseyness.

Anything computers do, they are programmed to do, so if they could
program themselves it would only be to the extent that they were
programmed to do so. My dad is a computer programmer. Is anyone else's
mom or dad a computer programmer?

No, but I am. I've created 9 apps for Mac OS X.

I would like to warn everyone...Don't buy a computer from Dell!!!! My
family has numerous problems with the laptop, and just today our
computer froze up, shut down, and wouldn't start up again for several
hours. They're both relatively new, and (correct me if I'm wrong) this
stuff shouldn't be happening! *Sigh.* My kingdom for a Macbook!

My computer also is the reason I haven't been contributing to the Creation/Evolution debate recently. I think it has problems handling long pages or something. Hmm, maybe I should push all the buttons at once or pull the plug...

The same thing is happening with my computer, Hannah M.. It could hardly load this page.

*shakes head sadly* And yet, most computer users are still inevitably locked in the mire of technological confusion and viruses.

Yup, I believe I classify as one of the unfortunate individuals who hasn't and will never understand any technology, however foolproof.

Well, you know, a common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

So it's not entirely your fault that you're incompatible with technology. :)

My mom has to have Windows for work... but I'm on a MacBook (which is unfortunately not mine).

I don't think it's Dell. Our computer had the same problem (or similar), but it's not Dell, and my dad has a Dell laptop that never had any problems.
