Chatterbox: Down to Earth

So, horses are

So, horses are my favorite animal. No, not just cuz I'm from Texas! I have been riding for about six years now, and I love it. My training horse, Trinity, is a American quarter horse. :)

Does anyone else ride??

Also, I now have an AE, Cowgirl... I guess sort of my more no-nonsense, strong side. :D I'm not exactly sure, is that how it works?

Riding horses are awesome. Sadly I am not allowed to do it anymore because I got run over by one twice (don't blame anyone, the horse was just spooked).

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a horse. But, my piano teacher has four horses and a pony, and when I go to her house for piano (once a week), I get to work with/ride them. I love horses! I'm completely obsessed with them. I could talk for hours about how much I love horses, but I'd rather not.

Anyways, right now, I am working with my piano teacher's pony, Bo. He will barely even let people touch him! So we have to do a lot of things with him. Also, one of her mares, Lady, gets spooked very easily. (She is a thoroughbred.) We have to work with her, too. Hopefully I will be riding Lady by summer! I'm glad I am not the only horse lover here!

I would love to be able to work with a horse in that way! The stables where I ride have a new horse who's a kiger mustang. Look them up. He's beautiful! I might be able to ride him once he's broken in more!

I looked up kiger mustangs, and they are beautiful! All horses are already beautiful, but... wow. Kiger mustangs have better hair than I do!

Wow, do you live the country? Because it's a stereotype that Texans own horses....I know nobody who does! But if you live out in the country, then I guess you can, right?

Can't wait to see your AE!

Hello, Bookish Texan! I used to ride, but then I stopped. But my sister owns a horse, his name is Ziggy as in Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars (David Bowie, in case you didn't know;D). Did you call your horse Trinity because of the Matrix??????!?!??????????? If not you can just ignore this post:)

Yeah, I live in a more rural area-

Yeah, right! Like five minutes from the grocery store. I wouldn't call it rural.

Okay, well, compared to where we used to live in Houston, cowgirl, it is rural. There are a lot more horses where I live now. :) I'm just waiting for my dad to win the lotto, and then if I play my cards right I'll get a horse! *evil grin*

I like riding horses, even though I've only done so a few times, and that was a long time ago.

I live in Texas too! Northern Texas. Are you allowed to tell around where you live? If not it's fine. :)

I love horses! I've only ride none once, but this summer at a camp I'm going to, we get to ride horses and I'm so excited! My social studies teacher has a bunch of horses, and each year his class gets to name a baby horse! I'm not in his class, but we switch classes, and my friends are in his class, so I hear all the horse news. Also my friend owns a horse and likes them a lot more than I do.

Hiya Bookish Texan! You new here?

I love horses! I ride every other week! I usually ride a horse who is probably 15+ hands. He's tall compared to me! I'm always reading about horses! Okay now I sound like I'm two.

Hey, Bookish! I'm a fellow horse lover (and rider), too! I think you just might be able to tell from my name;-}. Sooo.....I ride mostly Morgans at my barn. I ride English and do dressage. I can't remember if you said what style you ride, sorry! So what style do you ride? I usually ride a Morgan named Brody! He is the tallest horse in the barn. He is such a love. I love 'em! I ride a horse called Taz who every time I put the bridle on him yawns! I love him, too. I also ride another Morgan, Ace. He is super! I carriage drive, too! I drive a pony named Ginger Snap. She is AWESOME!
