So, I have a crush on one of my best friends. This is bad for two reasons. Firstly, the last time I had a crush on a close friend, we actually ended up dating, so when we (inevitably) broke up, I lost a friend AND my significant other. Secondly, they claim that they're not interested in me, but some of the things they've said indicate otherwise, which is massively confusing, to say the least, because I'm terrible at understanding body language and stuff like that.

Basically, I just don't know what to do and I'm in need of advice. Please help if you can.

Oh, Arin. 

I had a crush on a good friend of mine, and then another (female) friend told him that I liked him, when I had told her not to tell him. I didn't want to talk to him because I was so embarrassed. Several years later, we're talking again, but we aren't as close as we were.

From personal experience, I'd say only time can mend it. But I don't want to say that's the case. But I don't know what else to say.

I'm probably going to make things worse, because I've never been in a relationship before, and I stink at giving advice, but...

If you like them you should tell them. I know, easier said than done. But, there's a chance that they have a crush on you, too. I don't know what your friend is like, but if it's worth the chance, I think you should take it. Okay, I'm just going to go now because I feel super awkward...

P.S. Did you have a birthday? Because it says age 15 on your name thingy, and before it said 14. (Okay, now I feel even more awkward)

My friend...knows, actually. They said they'd be willing to try being in a relationship with me, which is very !!!!!.

And yes, my birthday was April 26. Thanks for noticing.

Hey Bluebird, I noticed that too, and was typing up a thread about it! But I guess this will work too. :)

@Arin, did you just turn 15? If so, happy birthday! Laughing If not....Embarassed

Anyway, I noticed that what you put in your "age" thingy turned from "14" to "15" so I thought you had a birthday.

Also, I am not sure what to do in this situation, either. I would think that Bluebird may be right.
