Oh Savvy... I'm so sorry. I don't have divorced parents, my mom's parents got divorced when she was little, and she ended up living with her grandparents... Ok, that was depressing. We'll all be praying!  

Oh, Saavy, I am sorry to hear that. I don't have divorced parents, but my mom's parents got divorced when she was around my age. 

Our thoughts are with you. And if you ever need to talk about anything, we're here. 

I'm sure we do have some CBers with divorced parents. Divorce is a reality in many, many families, including my own in which four of my relatives with children have been divorced. All later remarried others (though that does not always happen), and the children and parents are doing fine. Things will get better for you and your famliy, Savvy. We're keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, guys. Basically my dad is staying in our house and my mom is moving in with my grandparents until she can afford her own house.

I'm really sorry, Savvy! My parents aren't divorced, but my mom's parents are, and a lot of good friends of mine have divorced parents as well. I hope it gets better for you.

Your parents still love you very much and please don't think that this divorce is caused by you in any way, shape, or form. It's very sad when parents are fighting, but it sometimes happens that people find they can't live with each other anymore. Ultimately, this may be a good thing. You'll be able to see both your mom and dad and they'll be able to give you their undistracted attention. It's very hard now, but I hope you are able to become happy in the future.
