You all probably don't care at all that I'm leaving for awhile.
Probably all summer.
I'm just so mad at a few people. Whenever I try to talk, I get burned down. I don't know anybody on here well anymore, and the people I do know are leaving.
I don't care what you all say. The CB has changed and I think it was better then.
How can you say that they're both equal when I can't talk without people screaming at me.
I'm so sick of this.

Oh! S.E.! *sobs* This isn't possible! First MapleSyrup, then HAB, now YOU! This can't be happening! How can you say that we probably don't care! We do care! And I am speaking for the WHOLE ENTIRE CB. This 'war' needs to end. Now. Promise me you will come back in the fall? Promise?

I don't think that's true. Honestly, I don't see any reasons for anyone to hate you!
I'm really sorry that this argument has been getting you down. It's been getting a little out of hand as well.
But I think that you are one of the people who can help us simmer down! You probably have almost the biggest amount of influence around here. You've been here the longest. You're really mature and rational.
Of course, it's all up to you whether you stay or not.

I don't blame you, S.E.,I'm in strong agreement. The CB has changed a lot, a lot for the worse I personally believe. I think it can be fixed, I think it can get better, but it's not up to me, it's up to everyone else here. It won't ever be what it used to be, but it could be better. But unfortunately, I don't think it will change any time soon. Pride goes before the fall. And pride is still running too strong.
I hope your hiatus is pleasurable, and that you get a nice breather from here.

3. I understand what you're feeling. Not neccessarily through the CB...in outside life. that's how I felt when I went into 6th grade. So many people leaving, or changed completely. My best friend moved to Scotland. My other best friend had grown icy with me the last month of 5th grade, and though she said she was returning next year, I found out on the last day of school that no, she wasn't staying. She was going to some private school.
4. I get that this is your personal opinion SE, and I respect that. But maybe, just maybe if you check out the CB after the summer...perhaps you'll find that our problem is fixed, that we're in peace again, that we've made an AE Constitution or something. Because we will fix it. We will.
5. SE, I've never felt angry at you, much less in the mood to scream at you. I will admit, I don't know you as well as I know some others, but I know you well enough to say this: you're a really good CBer and a fun one too. The other thing is that you've been here for so long...it would feel kind of...well, empty if you left. You're one of the "older" CBers. I've been here for almost enough of a time to be considered "older", I've been here for over an year...however, I arrived just after the Nostalgia and AE War. I arrived in a time of peace. SE I feel like you've been here forever. You are equal. Please don't leave.
6. I think this thread has helped things for you. You've let us know how you feel. And what do you think the community is going to do about it? Now that we know how you've been feeling...
They won't scream at you. They won't burn you down. They'll consider you an equal.
That, SE is the solution to one of your two problems you stated here.
The other problem...it's not something that, now that we're aware of it, we can fix it. Because we can't.
The other frustration you are expressing here is that the people you know have left, and it doesn't feel the same to you anymore.
This, my friend, is not something we can do for you. It is a choice you have the right to make.
Now that we can solve the other problem, what will you do about this one? Will you stay on the CB that will do its best to no longer give hate to you, but cannot change the fact that it is constantly changing and will never be quite the same? Or will that be too hard for you to deal with while still on the CB.
It's your choice SE. Whichever one you choose...well, I will always stand with you.

I think I understand why you want to leave. Sometimes, when everything you knew and loved is changing, and people seem so stubborn and stone-hewn, and your place in the community feels weightless or worthess if not non-existent -- just turning your back on it all, slinging your satchel and walking away seems both the easiest and the wisest road. Everything is so pointless-- and it looks even more pointless to hang around when there is nothing for you there and no one will care much, anyhow.
Yes, it is the easiest road. Realizing the issue and choosing to take a break and come back when you and everyone else are less frustrated, and when things may have taken a new change for the better, is by no means foolhardy.
But no one here wants you to take that path. We need you here. You may not see it, but your unique and beautiful thread has been woven into the tapestry of the Chatterbox and the people therein. You know the way of a tapestry-- from a distance, one sees only the entirety of the picture portrayed. It is only when one comes in closer that one may see the individual threads that make up the whole. One thread-- so slight, so fine, so seemingly insignificant in comparison with the glorious image displayed. Yet, if that one strand were to become missing or frayed-- the entire tapestry would suffer and its beauty and very existence would be marred.
You are as vital to the Chatterbox as is the single lonely thread to the tapestry. You might not need us-- but we need you. We will not be complete without you. And a time may come when you find that you need us just as much.
The paths spread out before your feet, reaching and rambling far away and out of all sight. It is up to you which you shall take. Just remember this: We care about you, and we need you, and, no matter to what far reaches and distant shores, under mountain and swinging tree and over hill and un-named vale, your feet may carry you, the Chatterbox will always be here for you. We will always be here for you. We will always be waiting.

Is it up now? If not, it's coming. There've been a lot of new comments to review today. I went swimming, weeded the garden, then had unexpected company for dinner. Now I'm back on posting comments again. Sometimes you just need to be patient.
